That's a wrap on RailsBridge Wellington 2018! Hope y'all had a great time! Keep in touch! ✨
Some more thanks from our attendees that we collected over the weekend over on our "Wall of Thanks" #railsbridgewgtn
RailsBridge Wellington is a non-profit event powered by volunteers and sponsors. Without the companies mentioned in the previous tweets, we wouldn't be able to do what we do. So a massive THANK YOU from our crew to these folk for supporting this event 💗
And one more shoutout to @github for keeping us stocked up on Octocat stickers! Everyone's laptops are now 100% cooler ✨
A huge HUGE thanks to our Ruby sponsors: @fluxfederation (who also sponsored the venue!), @TalentArmyHQ, and @boostnz! This event wouldn't have been possible without your support ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you to everyone who made this weekend so fantastic! The attendees put in an amazing effort! And we couldn't have done it without our fabulous coaches! 💗
Some learnings shared by groups at demo time:
- Everything takes longer than you think
- Team is King
- Things don't make sense for a while
- Brainstorming is great
- Animals and humour make a great combo!
- Write plain English first, then convert to code
