My personal opinion is that ESL Impact needs to expand. At least to 12-16 teams. There are still fairly decent teams that were on the cusp of qualification in EU/NA/SA.
Losing HSG dilutes the competition more than allowing 4 additional teams into the tournament. You can assign 1 EU Spot, 1 NA/SA spot, 1 AS spot and the other spot somewhere else.
And you'll still get a very competitive tournament.

I've been following their journey since the start. From seeing them having no qualifier for the first 2 seasons and them watching everyone living their dream. To give them a spot and hope and now to take it away.
It's absolutely unnaceptable and heartbreaking that Asia doesn't have a wildcard spot next season. They did very well this event and in the past too. They show passion and are exciting to watch. It's what impact is all about. Big mistake @eslimpact
