That drive was killed by Choice running the wrong route on 1st down. Of course, 90% of the OU fans will blame that on Mateer making a bad throw. But easy to see who was to blame - Witten lit up the young receiver when he came off the field! Did Arbuckle ever get after a player?

I’m cracking up seeing all the OU media speculating as to the next OC. Waste of time! Easy answer ; Jason Witten! BV is auditioning him for 2027.

It’s clear that BV wants Witten to remain on staff long term. Why is nobody mentioning this is an “audition” for Witten to be the possible OC for next year. If BV had plans to go outside, he woulda named Wilson interim. Why put Witten an interim, then plan on taking it away?

Anxious to see if BV had the courage to fire BOTH Ben & Bill? Making Arbuckle the scapegoat for the whole offense would be bullshit! Bill’s OL the last 3+ yrs has been s#i+… put Witten as OC and Kevin as OL for rest of the year!!!

What a great play on the TD pass to escape the pocket and somehow got the ball to Sategna. I have not seen one media member comment how great that effort was by Mateer. Only the same old “OU sucks bc of Mateer”… 🤮

I truly believe the OL has been our biggest issues the past 3 years?! But to be honest it’s recruiting/development at every offensive position! In the classes of 24,25,26, players who should be in their 3rd-4th-5th yr of college, we have only 6 offensive guys left of 35 signees!

I head people say 2 yrs ago- can’t fire Bedenbaugh bc you’ll lose recruits. Same argument now being spouted. Hilarious….

It’s recruiting evaluation, development once they get on campus, and coach-player relationships that are different ! Offense has had many coaching changes, poor evaluations, poor development, poor retention!!!
