CLOSED FOR THE SEASON The final 2.7 miles of SR 542/Mt. Baker Hwy, the Road to Artist Point (MP 54), is CLOSED for winter as of 3p Sun (10/25). SR 542 remains open to the seasonal closure point. Winter recreationalists should still monitor conditions throughout the season.

Totally agree with this. One thing also to add is that it can depend on what the iPhone is focusing on as well. If you touch the screen in different places, the light will change.
