After Forex markets, Government Bonds and Equities are the world's most liquid traded asset classes.
The next major competition among blockchain networks will be capturing the largest share of on-chain trading volume for tokenized equities.
@Solana has emerged as the leader in on-chain tokenized equity trading. @BNBCHAIN, through bStocks, is growing rapidly, and @RobinhoodCrypto is entering the same arena, targeting the retail traders who already overlap heavily with Solana's user base, both meme coin and active equity traders.
On the tokenization platform side, @Ondo remains the leader by tokenized asset market capitalization, while @xStocksFi has established itself as the leader in on-chain trading volume.
Securitize ranks third, while Figure has climbed to fourth in less than a month. Its rapid growth has been driven primarily by its tokenized HELOC (Home Equity Line of Credit) offering and its own tokenized equity, $FGRS.
This highlights an important distinction: leading in assets under management doesn't necessarily mean leading in on-chain activity. Liquidity and trading volume are becoming just as important as issuance.
In fixed income assets, @Ethereum, @BNBCHAIN and @StellarOrg currently lead on-chain market cap for tokenized U.S. Treasuries.
For non-U.S. government debt, @StellarOrg is leading the market, driven largely by @Spiko_finance, by Arbitrum and Ethereum.
As more government bonds move on-chain, competition between blockchain ecosystems will increasingly be measured by where real-world capital chooses to settle and trade.

There was a significant surge in activity around January 27th, 2025, where the daily active addresses peaked well over 25k!
