Vintage Pokémon is brutal to grade.
These 4 WOTC holos have 70,000+ PSA grades combined. Only 196 came back a 10.
That's roughly 1 in 358. Every month hundreds more get sent in, and the 10s barely move. 📉
Thats true but I dont think many would crack a 10 unless they're trying to send to BGS for a black label. Seems risky

But Base Set Charizard (Unlimited) dropped from 490 → 489.
And it's not just PSA 10s. PSA 9 dropped by 5, too.
Of 35,031 Pokémon cards tracked, only 51 had a PSA 10 population decline over 30 days.

Heres the ones with 0 pop, none of them holo so thats why they didn't qualify for the list but still an interesting one.

But what about cards with NO PSA 10s? 👀
These 6 Pokémon holos have 2,637 PSA-graded copies combined, yet not a single Gem Mint 10.
Their populations are still growing, but the PSA 10 count remains at ZERO.
The way low pop cards are moving, I'm sure its worthwhile. Finding clean copies of cards 6+ years older and getting a 10 won't be easy.
I only see a PSA 9 Wailord Reverse holo listed on Fanatics for $3500, would it sell. Who knows
