🚨 Merino “You say Arteta is obsessed with defending but I think he is obsessed with everything around the game. He wants us to be the best at everything, not only defending. The main difference right now is mentality and adapting to any good / bad context. BE THE HAMMER THAT WANTS TO WIN EVERY SINGLE GAME”

Bruno Fernandes has played 28 Champions League games but has never scored from open play in the competition against a team from one of Europe's top-five leagues.
It is a strange quirk for a player who is so crucial to Manchester United's attacking play.
Against Roma on Tuesday, he has the chance to change that statistic, just when his team and his head coach really need him.

Creator, duelist, box impact.
In last season’s Premier League, only one winger did all three: Bukayo Saka.

Liverpool have committed more fouls this season than any other team in the Premier League. Arsenal are joint 17th.
Liverpool rank joint fourth in the league for yellow cards. Arsenal are joint 17th and Liverpool have one red card to Arsenal's none.
Arsenal's highest entry in the most fouls committed by a player in the league is Myles Lewis Skelly at 34th, joint with Szoboszlai. There are four Liverpool players who have committed more than MLS.
This is fan fic nonsense.
Sunday merely served to reinforce the belief that Liverpool as a team are far too nice.
There’s a difference between being streetwise and cheating. It wasn’t pretty, but Arsenal produced a masterclass in the former in the second half on Sunday.
Andoni Iraola was clear post-match that there will be a change of approach. He will tell his players to start going to ground when they are impeded in the box.
It’s a sad state of affairs, but needs must.

14 kampe siden den City kamp. 39 ud af 42 points mulige. Interessant dog at Tottenham har fået 4. flest points i den periode. Brighton og Bournemouth på CL pladserne.

The Invincibles had the following league results
Birmingham (H) 0-0
Blackburn (H) 1-0
Bolton (H) 2-1 and (a) 1-1
Charlton (H) 2-1 and (a) 1-1
Everton (a) 1-1
Fulham (H) 0-0 and (a) 1-0
Leicester (H) 2-1 and (a) 1-1
Manchester United (a) 0-0
Newcastle (a) 0-0
Portsmouth (H) and (a) 1-1
They gritted out a lot of results and ground out a lot of draws. Only six of the games listed above were televised. Past eras are often romanticised and misremembered.
Replying to @timstillman_
I agree Tim, and I'd absolutely hate losing if it comes as a consequence of asthetic play
However, sometimes, once in a generation, you stumble upon teams which do both, play asthetically and win
I was spoilt by 1 such generation in my teens, so nostalgia keeps taking me there

Arsenal have had a very away heavy schedule to start the season.
5 of 9 away in the Premier League
3 of 4 away in the Champions League
2 of 2 away in the League Cup
The PL and CL will even out and hopefully Arsenal can get some home draws in the FA Cup.
