One of my mutuals is genuinely such a horrible, evil, disgusting person I would have blocked them already if it weren’t for the fact they’re pro Ukraine.

Maryna Leanovich is a political prisoner in Belarus. A former fellow prisoner told @viasna96 that she suffers panic attacks and frequent suicidal thoughts.
She needs urgent medical care and immediate release. We cannot wait for another life to be lost in Lukashenka's prisons.

@ThomasByrneTD welcomed Belarus opposition leader @Tsihanouskaya to Ireland. Look at the responses. Not one from a recognisable account. Clearly the Ukrainians haven’t hit enough Russian data centres yet. Russian bots on here are a scourge.

Ukraine NT manager Andrea Maldera was asked about who he’d give the Ballon D’Or to in a Ukrainian context:
“I would like to give the Ballon D’Or to every soldier that is currently defending our country”
An Italian who’s truly embraced & loves Ukraine!

A large portion of southerners don’t pay for medical care. And in the north it is increasingly harder to get a medical appointment

Dirty little loyalist laughing at democracy. This is who these “people” are and they will never change.

For me, Europe began in Ireland 🇮🇪.
Today at the conference in Dublin, I shared some personal memories. As a teenager, I visited Ireland several times through a programme for children affected by the Chornobyl disaster. I stayed with Henry and Marian Deane in Roscrea, County Tipperary.
I learned English here, and even a little Irish. I discovered another culture. But most importantly, I discovered another way of life.
I saw that people could speak freely. That they could disagree with their government without being afraid. I was too young then to understand what democracy really meant. But I could feel what freedom was. That is something you never forget.
Ireland helped shape me as a person, my values and my European identity. Long before I learned about the European Union, I experienced European values through ordinary Irish people. Through a family who opened their home to a girl from Belarus. Through neighbours who treated me as one of their own.
Ireland also taught me another important lesson: You can love your country, your language and your traditions while remaining open to the world.
