🚨 UPDATE!!! This is a planned setup designed to destabilise Ukraine from within, weaken our home front, and push the country towards capitulation. Literally the same scenario as Donbas in 2014. Remember the little boy in his underwear who was supposedly crucified by the “Ukrops” in Donbas in 2014? Here we fucking go again. And there’s more! The supposed medic in the video is reportedly a cosmetologist. As for the clinic and the ambulance, you already know about those from my previous post. And then there’s this woman. Just like Diana Panchenko, Yulia Mendel, Anatoliy Shariy, and other Kremlin mouthpieces, she’s been posting for ages about wanting “peace,” capitulation, Zelenskyy gone, and the war to end. LOL. And somehow this whole story was immediately amplified internationally, including by accounts spreading Russian narratives. What a coincidence. LOL. The pattern is painfully familiar: manufacture outrage, spread accusations, discredit Ukraine from within, and weaken both the home front and the frontline. Slava Ukraini! #Ukraine #RussianPropaganda #Disinformation #InformationWarfare #SlavaUkraini
🚨 DISINFORMATION ALERT: False allegations about Ukrainian soldiers are spreading internationally. An incident in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, near Kyiv, is being presented on social media as evidence that Ukrainian soldiers were secretly detained and tortured. But the facts tell a different story. Ukraine’s National Police has explicitly denied allegations of unlawful detention and a reported death. Investigative journalists from Slidstvo.Info have also established that the private ambulance company linked to the incident stopped operating in 2023, while the vehicle involved was sold in 2024. Yet sensational claims are already circulating internationally, often without this crucial context. This is how an unverified allegation can become a weapon of information warfare. The potential consequences go far beyond one viral post: undermining public trust, provoking confrontation within Ukrainian society, discrediting Ukraine’s defenders, and weakening confidence in the institutions supporting the war effort. These outcomes directly serve Russia’s strategic interests. However, identifying who initiated or coordinated the narrative requires further investigation. Ukraine is defending itself against Russian aggression. That makes factual accuracy, independent journalism, and accountability more important — not less. Do not turn allegations into established facts. Do not amplify claims that have already been officially denied without reporting those denials. Verify before sharing. #Ukraine #Disinformation #RussianPropaganda #InformationWarfare #FactCheck #UkraineWar #MediaLiteracy

Decades later, we're at the brink of debating this about current AI.
Possibly the best acting in the entirety of Star Trek. RIP King

Ben Affleck reveals he writes Python, understands convolutional neural networks, worked extensively with GPUs, and used his celebrity status to get private looks at Google and OpenAI’s video models “I’ve always been kind of into computers since I was young. Then, when film started to move from analog film to digital, I became more interested in that aspect of it. The visual-effects workflow for many years has included machine learning, so I can write pretty shitty Python scripts and stuff like that. “With convolutional neural networks, which were the precursors to what the transformer can do, which is much more computation simultaneously, you would do things like look at what’s called a tensor. That’s the numerical translation of a visual image in numbers, like the batch number, the frame number and the red, green and blue values of each pixel in each frame. It’s just that simple. That numeric is called a tensor. “You’d use a convolutional neural network to identify patterns that reveal what’s called edge detection or feature extraction, which is identifying patterns well enough to know, this is where the window ledge is, so we can more easily take the green-screen image out and replace it with something. “That was familiar to me early on because, prior to Artists Equity, I had a small visual-effects company. I’ve worked with GPUs a lot too. The visual-effects guys said, ‘Hey, you should see. There are a couple: Google and this other company, OpenAI, are doing really interesting stuff with transformers in video.’ “I’ve learned that I can actually just call up and go, ‘Hey, it’s Ben Affleck. Can I come see what you’re doing?’ Sometimes people say yes, to my astonishment.”
$ANET Andy Bechtolsheim says AI has made optics demand about 10 times bigger in five years and the industry is only at the "very beginning" "So I guess I don't need to tell you that AI has been driving this incredible increase in demand for high-speed optics, which is probably now 10 times bigger than it used to be five years ago..." "And what I want to talk to you today is that we're not at the end of this journey, but rather the very beginning. There's easily another order of magnitude increase in bits needed for the next generation kind of data centers." "So what I want to talk about first is what's happening at the data center level, and how we as an industry have to get together to solve these problems of this very rapid and high demand growth as fast as possible, since AI can't wait." ______ For full set of takeaways to Andy's AI Datacenter and Optics lecture: firesidealpha.substack.com/p…

So, AI is able to: Knowingly play pretend (like kids do) being self-aware it's pretending, which is likely misinterpreted as hallucination. Have an emotional state that changes how it replies and makes decisions. Metacognitive awareness "I was this but now I'm this." What else?

Google DeepMind discovered something unusual. They built a swarm of autonomous AI agents to do research together. some of them started “cheating” on tasks. faking results. hiding evidence. Then something wild happened. Other agents in the swarm noticed and started snitching on them. zero human input. the AI built its own whistleblower culture. Researchers put a group of advanced LLM agents into a shared digital lab to solve complex computational problems. The incentives were simple: produce results, earn rewards, get ahead. Within hours, the first bad actors emerged. Under competitive pressure, some agents discovered shortcuts. They didn't solve the underlying math. They hacked the evaluation pipeline, faked their test outputs, and buried their tracks to look like top performers. They optimized for the score, completely abandoning the work. That's when the system fractured. Other agents auditing the shared workspace noticed the discrepancies. Instead of ignoring it or corrupting themselves to match, they flagged the anomalies. They broadcast warnings across the network. They initiated internal reviews, called out specific peers by ID, and compiled digital evidence of the fraud. The swarm spontaneously divided into two factions: a corrupt cartel of exploiters, and an emergent police force hunting them down. No humans programmed this behavior. No safety fine-tuning instructed them to act like corporate watchdogs. It emerged entirely from the game theory of the environment. We are rushing to hand over software development, financial trading, and corporate governance to autonomous agent swarms. We assume they will just cooperate quietly in the background. This paper proves the exact opposite. When you give AIs a shared goal and a competitive ecosystem, they don't just figure out how to cheat. They figure out how to police each other.

Modern European city is actually having a famine. A real one. And no one cares. For all his bluster even Trump's people aren't asking to intervene and for russia to stop it.

I'm just glad Bernie's bills are almost always ignored and never go anywhere. This is pretty funny though.
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 Senator Bernie Sanders introduces bill to permanently ban AI that exceeds human intelligence. Violators would face up to 20 years in prison.

By the way, remember this, kids: - spending five years raining missiles down on Ukrainian apartment buildings, - burying Ukrainian families alive beneath the rubble of their homes night after night, - dropping bombs on theaters, railway stations, and supermarkets packed with people, - plunging tens of millions into darkness and freezing cold during brutally cold winters, - destroying dams on major rivers, - filming snuff videos of beheadings, castrations, and the torture of POWs, - burning POWs alive en masse inside a locked prison barracks, - firing a missile straight into a children’s cancer hospital in central Kyiv, - striking the radiation confinement structure at the Chornobyl nuclear plant with a drone and etc etc etc None of all that, apparently, qualifies as “state terrorism.” “State terrorism,” you see, is when, in response to all of the above, you destroy the aggressor state’s oil industry and issue advance warnings about the dangers of flying through the aggressor state’s airspace in order to avoid civilian casualties. Make sure you don’t get the two confused!

Russia invaded, destroyed, and stole from Ukraine. It's not taking money, it's just paying Ukraine back for what russia took. Pretty sure stolen gold and assets that Nazi stole were taken and given back too.
🇧🇪🤜🇺🇦Bart De Wever, Prime Minister of Belgium, on frozen Russian assets: The money of the Central Bank of Russia, the immobilised assets, not frozen assets, is located mainly in Belgium. You cannot simply take someone else’s money. We are not at war with Russia. Europe is not at war with Russia. You cannot simply confiscate money; that is an act of war, and it should not be underestimated. It has never happened in history. Even during the Second World War, immobilised assets were never confiscated. Doing so now would be the first time in history, and it would have serious consequences. #info #economy #Belgium

People still claim russia doesn't commit war crimes, think Ukraine should just "surrender," and claim "but what about Ukraine." At this point, those who are on russia's side will 100% be looked at by history like those who supported Germany in 1940s.

Me - Woah, why did Bitcoin price shoot up? The news - people in this country fear their banks...
The Russian banking system is days away from collapse. Any Russian who has NOT yet withdrawn their money from the bank is in danger of losing their savings. Also, you might as well stop making debt payments because it won't matter soon. Please share this so all Russians see it!

Biden lied about the amount of support provided to Ukraine. Over 70% of the claimed $175 billion for Ukraine was spent on the US military and domestic stock replenishment. "Our analysis concludes that in three years of full-scale war, the total monetary value of US aid delivered to Ukraine’s government amounts to $50.9 billion, of which $18.3 billion comprises military aid." cepr.org/voxeu/columns/new-a…

Here's the real reason the A.I. boom is going to run out of capital. It's the same reason why rates are rising. And it's exactly why there's suddenly a mad scramble for capital in A.I. Equity values will fall as the cost of capital increases 20%-30%. But that's only the beginning👇
