It has to be financial change and not a geopolitical event.

Expensive home help to drive everything from the world's low fertility rate to rising level of obesity. It should always be the aim to reduce the price of homes. The next shock would aim to control the housing cost.

Petrodollars & Global Trade → 1970s Origin: U.S. drops gold standard → Secures USD oil deal with Saudi Arabia → Petrodollars recycled into U.S. markets

U.S. Oil Trade: Net crude importer (needs heavier crude for optimized refining) vs. finished product exporter Liberation Day Tariff: 10% baseline imposed on imports from Saudi Arabia, Russia, Canada, Iraq, Iran, USA, Brazil & Kuwait → gives edge over competing nation

Why Strong Ties Matter: Robust relationships ensure efficient imports that secure energy security (largest refining capcity) and maintain U.S. strategic advantage Takeaway: The petrodollar system gives the U.S. economic and geopolitical leverage while financing trade deficit.

Peace makes plenty, plenty makes pride, pride makes quarrel, and quarrel brings war; War brings spoil, and spoil poverty, poverty patience, and patience peace So peace brings war, and war brings peace - Jean De Meun

One reason I can think of bloated real estate prices is black money. Corrupt politicians and bureaucrats park their money here. Business people with unaccounted wealth too park their money. When we can make KYC so strict for financial assets, where every single detail is automatically reflected in income tax returns, can we not do it for real estate? Can we not link every single piece of land and building to PAN and Aadhaar and probe the source of wealth? If there is willingness, real estate prices can be made realistic. Will political, bureaucratic and business class allow it to happen?

We will be hearing more about The Jevon’s Paradox in the coming days: The Jevons Paradox: When efficiency leads to more consumption. Example: Energy-efficient tech lowers costs, but people use it more, increasing overall energy use.

In case of OpenAi and DeepSeek - as AI becomes more efficient, demand skyrockets. Companies and individuals use it more, potentially increasing resource use (energy, compute power)

we think there is room to make search much better than it is today. we are launching a new prototype called SearchGPT: openai.com/index/searchgpt-p… we will learn from the prototype, make it better, and then integrate the tech into ChatGPT to make it real-time and maximally helpful.

For those who asked about North Chennai, even here vote percentage has increased around 6%. Chennai's vote percentage should be close to 70%. This is phenomenal. Chennai is known for not coming out to vote. In my view, which would be confirmed on June 4th, Chennai is becoming a BJP fort. What a blow this would be for DMK, only Chennaites can understand.

One of the best quotes that I have read History reports that the men who can manage men manage the men who can manage only things, and the men who can manage money manage all. - Will Durant
