When Nothing Is True Everything is Permitted. We work in the shadows to serve the light. We fray not from the bind, but the frayed weave we must leave. Death is our salvation, life is our cause. For freedom sacrifice must be made There is no free will, without sacrifice.

I've begun to wonder whether they resent what Patrice Désilets started, because they simply cannot measure up to what he set in motion. We saw it with Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed I, and even Black Flag. Rather than building upon those legacies, they seem determined to dismantle, reinvent or strip away what made them matter. Stop removing what already exists. Start adding to it. Progress isn't one step forward and one step backwards, endlessly repeating the cycle. "You have placed me on a pedestal so impossibly high, and not to honour me, not to honour me! But to spare yourself the effort of the climb." Perhaps that's the greatest irony of all. If you cannot understand, respect and build upon the foundations that made an IP legendary, then you haven't understood the IP itself. You cannot claim to honour a legacy while simultaneously refusing to make the climb necessary to live up to it. A legacy isn't something you erase to make room for your own. It's something you earn the right to continue. #assassinscreed @Ubisoft
#AssassinsCreed #AssassinsCreedRemake @Ubisoft @assassinscreed

I've already told Ubisoft at McM (Staff Members) if they want me to test the quality of their games and the overall product and not just part 1 of the game, they know where to find me. And I will be heavily critical to make Hexe the best selling Assassins Creed game so far, because I'd rather be honest than not at all. It doesn't surprise me though if it's delayed accordingly, the problem is quality control. If you know your game is not going to make the best sales because you re-evaluate the quality of the story, narrative, gameplay, mechanics and more, you automatically know it's not going to succeed the predicted units sold. They tend to double delay because the quality doesn't meet the right standards and predicts less sales overall if it was released in 2027. While the other details sound fair, I do not instill my hope in them.
According to a recent report via Insider Gaming and content creator J0nathan: - Assassin’s Creed Hexe has been delayed to 2028, this is the next mainline AC game - A brand new Assassin’s Creed game set in Ancient Rome has entered full development and is likely the game after Hexe - There’s also a mobile AC game in development set in Jerusalem Hexe should take all the time that it needs, its sad that the game is still so far away but Ubisoft cannot afford to mess this up. Fingers crossed it ends up a great game. As for the ancient rome game, it sounds like it will probably be by Ubisoft Quebec, I prefer Ubi Montreal’s games in general but the setting is awesome as an idea so I hope we get a great game there too.

One thing people seem to overlook is that Ubisoft still has access internally to the legacy versions and development history of the Anvil engine. Anvil wasn't built overnight. From AC1, through Ezio's trilogy, Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate, the engine evolved through years of technological development, iteration and refinement. Those older versions represent different approaches to parkour, movement systems, animations, world design, lighting, physics and environmental interaction. Just because Ubisoft has moved towards newer iterations of Anvil doesn't mean the foundations or previous technology have simply disappeared. Internal development builds, source code, documentation and archived projects can preserve that history. The important distinction is that having access to older technology doesn't mean it's immediately compatible with modern production or that every feature can simply be switched back on. But let's not pretend Ubisoft has no knowledge of, or access to, the technology that helped establish Assassin's Creed in the first place. The question isn't whether the past can be revisited. It's whether Ubisoft is willing to learn from what made those games so special. Ubisoft has the ability to remaster, and recreate every entry with accurate detail using older builds and systems. However, they choose not to do so. #assassinscreed #UbiAnvil #AnvilEngine #AnvilNEXT

I planned to recreate this shot if I had enough time at McM. I plan to do it again this time.

Unfortunately that era passed when Great talent got shoved out for mediocre political hogwash. And for people less educated on the IP brand of different Franchises. Remember Quebec, just because you signify the "Rule of cool" doesn't mean it's practically a good developer ethic.
Cette époque me manque où les trailers étaient aussi bons que les jeux

Don't be surprised if they don't make an Assassin the central focus. Brutus could have been a focus aswell.
#AssassinsCreed

If Community Representatives accuse you of gatekeeping Assassin’s Creed simply because you question, criticise or challenge the direction of the franchise, perhaps it’s worth asking who is really acting in their own interests. Being passionate about a franchise, defending its identity and holding it accountable isn't gatekeeping. It's caring about what made it special in the first place. The Creed was never about blindly following those in power. It was about questioning authority, challenging those who seek control and thinking for yourself. If you mistake criticism for gatekeeping, perhaps you're more invested in protecting your own position than protecting the community or the games. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. #assassinscreed #nothingistrue #everythingispermitted

I would have started Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with Darius, not Alexios or Kassandra. Think about the potential: the first known wielder of the Hidden Blade, a man who stood against the Order of the Ancients, understood the dangers of those seeking control over humanity, and could have explored the earliest foundations of the Assassin philosophy. Even his statue in the Assassin Sanctuary beneath Monteriggioni tells us something. Centuries later, the Brotherhood still recognised Darius as an important figure in its history. That connection deserved to be explored, not simply left as a reference to the past. Imagine playing Darius as he uncovers the secrets of the Isu, fights against their influence over humanity and develops the principles that would eventually inspire generations of Assassins. More importantly, imagine his story continuing through raising Aya, passing down his knowledge, philosophy and understanding of freedom. Aya could have grown up with a deeper connection to the man who wielded the first Hidden Blade, eventually becoming one of the founders of the Hidden Ones alongside Bayek. That would have created a meaningful generational narrative connecting Darius, Aya, Bayek and the Brotherhood, while strengthening the relationship between the Isu mythology, Origins and the wider Assassin's Creed timeline. Darius wasn't just an opportunity for another historical protagonist. He was an opportunity to tell a story about legacy, philosophy, family and the origins of the Assassin Brotherhood. He deserved to be the protagonist of his own Odyssey. #assassinscreed @assassinscreed @Ubisoft We could have had Darius fighting Juno, Aita, Minerva, Tinia or even Poseidon. He should have not been a DLC. And was a waste of great potential for Darius to be the one leading the story.

I Still don't understand how some people want these depressing black and colour drained visuals than the original animus ingenuity and innovated designs. Reminds me of the 90s McDonald's Restaurant being colourful and today's being semi equivalent of a depressed adult. #assassinscreed

A scene that ties together three generations, three characters, past, present and future. And ends an on a narrative high point and closes the chapter, plus closes the book. That's good writing. #assassinscreed

I would rather have An Assassins Creed game that focuses on it's core mechanics, story, gameplay and music rather than waste it's budget on extreme graphic quality the modern generation of community representatives that pretend they love the games would rather add a pet monkey and visual fidelity because they want to feel mentally superior with their gaming specs.

The problem with Assassin's Creed's current direction is that Ubisoft seems to have forgotten what the Animus was originally meant to represent. The Animus was never just a menu or a platform for accessing historical adventures. It was the narrative backbone of the franchise, connecting past, present and future through an overarching story. The Animus Hub increasingly feels like a live-service launcher rather than an immersive storytelling experience. Animus EGO has potential, but interesting concepts mean very little without proper characterisation, motivations, development and consequences. And then there's the Modern Day. Desmond's journey gave the franchise direction, purpose and continuity. Shaun, Rebecca, Lucy and William weren't just supporting names; they were characters with personalities, relationships and roles in an evolving narrative. Since then, the Modern Day has become increasingly fragmented, with important developments receiving inconsistent attention and storylines losing their momentum. The answer isn't to recreate Desmond. It's to understand why his story worked. Assassin's Creed needs meaningful protagonists, compelling character writing, interconnected plots and a Modern Day that actually matters. The Animus should be a storytelling device first, not a delivery platform for everything else. A universe isn't expanded simply by adding more content. It's expanded by giving its stories meaning, its characters purpose and its narrative continuity. #assassinscreed
