Once you learn the language of sports betting, you will realize that many, if not most, of the teenage boys around you have been speaking it fluently for a long time.
At the gym tonight, there just so happened to be about 8 high school guys in the sauna.
The entire 15 minutes I was in there with them, the entire conversation was about Kalshi, Draftkings, and how the entire school is hooked.
How they get gambling tips from TikTok, what kids are losing the most, who is taking the most money from their parents to gamble, how they sneak their parents identity to get around age limits, etc...
Not to sound like that guy looking down on the younger generation but I had no idea how bad the online gambling situation was.
This isn't the first time either. Anytime I'm around high school kids, all they talk about is sports and gambling.
These online platforms really have that generation hooked and it's not going to lead to a good outcome.

Guys, D.C. briefly considered this years ago and it didn't go anywhere. There's no planned location for the proposed Georgetown station, not to mention any plan to jump through the logistical, federal, and funding hoops.

I feel bad for Kean and I’m glad he’s feeling better, but it’s not okay to disappear from elected office and not say why. Your constituents are entitled to form their own opinions about the appropriateness of your absence. When Fetterman went inpatient, he told people upfront.

Only the work of getting better one day at a time. Today, I am grateful that I listen to my doctors, and I am grateful for the exceptional care that I received from doctors, nurses and support staff.
