I labeled Caleb Williams as a “high injury risk” before the Bears drafted him.
I knew he had a good chance of getting injured in the NFL.
How?
Easy.
Scrambling and running the football was too much a part of Williams’ game at USC. It caused more wear and tear on his body and it exposed him more to the possibility of contact.
2022: 113 rushing attempts
2023: 97 rushing attempts
That was a lot of running. He was too dependent on his legs and he had a tendency to run recklessly on his USC game film.
I also considered the fact that Williams time to throw was slow.

2022: 3.24 seconds
2023: 3.17 seconds
Bad combination.
A quarterback who was too dependent on his legs + holding onto the ball longer as a passer

It was easy projection.
I didn’t know how or when he would get hurt, but I knew his “playing style” caused him to have a much better chance of getting hurt compared to - a traditional pocket passer who got the ball out of his hand on schedule and only ran out of necessity.
That makes sense, right?

If I receive another text from @Michele_Tafoya I’m going to start sending money to her opponent. I don’t generally donate to political candidates due to my job and I don’t live in Minnesota. I don’t even live in a state that BORDERS Minnesota. I have blocked at least 8 different phone numbers claiming to be soliciting for her. This has to be the single most obnoxious fundraising effort by a candidate I have ever experienced.
It’s a shame, because I used to think highly of her.
