The city was literally nuked and now look at it. How's Mogadishu doing?
This is Nagasaki in 2026. Imagine if they spent the past 80 years wallowing in self-pity and blaming the US? It's incredible what you can accomplish when you decide to pick yourself up, move forward, and take responsibility for your own outcomes.

Why do we indulge the mentally ill in high schools?
🚨 BREAKING: Trans-identified male, Hadyn James Dollery, 19, was just convicted of threatening to go on a “murder spree” and cannibalize one of the victims at John Champe High School in Loudoun County, VA. The thing that never happens just keeps on happening. After his boyfriend broke up with him, he sent Discord messages threatening to kill his ex, both families, and students at the school. Investigators found a box cutter in his backpack and searches about blood. He faces up to 25 years in prison. This is the same Loudoun County that previously covered up sexual assaults in girls’ bathrooms while pushing gender ideology. Schools keep prioritizing feelings and activism over basic child safety.

After forty years in front of the camera, I’ll be directing my first feature film, SO HELP ME GOD: a Civil War epic about a Union soldier named Albert Townsend, who should have received the Medal of Honor but didn’t. Clerical error. I learned of Albert through his descendants’ archival research. What I found was more than an injustice waiting to be corrected. It was a story of friendship and extraordinary courage: an unassuming young man becoming a soldier who held his ground, and his principles, under fire. That’s a story worth telling on the largest possible scale. And we’re inviting the people who want to see it told to help bring it to the screen, as investors in the film through Republic. We intend to do it justice: real cannons, one hundred horses, and the cast in period-accurate uniforms. We’ve brought on Mark Huffam, whose work includes Saving Private Ryan, Game of Thrones, and The Martian, to produce it. He knows what it takes to make an epic, and how much depends on the human story at its heart. At the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I introduced the project alongside Civil War historian Brad Quinlin, members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and representatives of Civil War Roundtables. We’re also supporting the campaign for Albert’s posthumous Medal of Honor. His descendants are still fighting to see his courage properly recognized. This picture is about friendship, love, and honor — and common people rising to accomplish extraordinary things. I want to give that story everything it deserves. I hope you will lift the banner with us. Learn more about the film and the opportunity to invest: sohelpmegod.film

Fun fact, same writer of this article was the writer for the game that tanked the studio.
Don’t Nod, the studio behind the original Life is Strange, is collapsing. The French developer is facing a near-total layoff, up to 85 jobs, which would leave its French teams with only a small number of employees. The studio has struggled with a string of underperforming releases, the most recently the sci-fi adventure Aphelion. Don’t Nod has warned that it may not have enough funding to continue operating beyond January 31, 2027, and has entered a French “safeguard” procedure to restructure its finances.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing. Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed. What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community. At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades. That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him. My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.

It's the truth. Especially in European or American companies where the idea of firing people for incompetence or just being a bad fit is borderline outlawed.
Not sure how to say this with tact but I will try. Also, this is not 100% accurate to every (or even any) of today's layoffs. But it's worth knowing if you don't: SOMETIMES when you have a small number of layoffs within a big org, it's less about the company being in trouble and more about it being VERY hard to fire people who you really don't need or want BUT they've done little wrong other than simply not be good enough and they are dragging the teams down. So mini layoffs often can be used to get around that, especially in states where a jury trial for wrongful termination tend to side against corporations. Is that what is occuring today? No evidence of that. But how would you really know if you are not on the inside? Again, this is not meant to be cruel or tactless- I am sure these are very good people losing their jobs and that sucks. Talking about it more at a 30,000 ft non personal view.

For those of you keeping track at home, the situation in Brasil makes Argentina all the more important to American strategic planning. Or to put it in Spanish: Las Malvinas son Argentinas.

The Castroites are such cowards.
One of the Cuban regime’s “diplomats” tried to intimidate UN staff into cutting our microphones as I exposed the regime for the world to see. When one of my American diplomats noticed what was happening, that same regime “diplomat” tried to intimidate him, too.

THe USA should have no designs on Quebec. The French have had their own nation going for hundreds of years.
Incredible story playing out in Canada. The newly elected PM of Quebec got banned from joining Carney’s EU talks in Montreal this week. Seems like a small stakes mistake by Carney but it’s actually massive. It’s seen as a slap in the face of PSPP, as the new Quebec PM is known. While this is fresh, Trump posts congrats to PSPP (two weeks after he’s elected). This is happening after I’ve been saying that PSPP negotiating a bilateral trade deal with the U.S. would be the ultimate Quebec sovereignty move. If PSPP makes contact this week, he’ll completely mog Carney and Canada. It’s the greatest chance for increased sovereignty in the Province of Quebec’s history.

The Castro regime has profited at the expense of the Cuban people with luxury cars, expensive watches and a private island resort. As I shared this with the world, regime thugs rushed the stage to interrupt my speech. They can intimidate their own people in Cuba but think again about trying that nonsense in the United States of America.

Lula is launching a new round of pink fascism in Brasil.
Lula celebrated his election win by announcing he will no longer allow himself to be “interpreted by journalists acting in bad faith.” From now on, he plans to speak to Brazilians directly, many times a day. In the same speech, he promised to regulate the tech platforms where Brazilians speak to each other. That promise comes from a government that has already made Brazilians prove their age with ID or a face scan, turned VPN use into an aggravating factor in crimes, and sued Discord after the First Lady called for it to be blocked “by any means.” Lula wants a direct line to the public. He is less keen on the public having one back. reclaimthenet.org/brazils-lu…

Judge Alexandre de Moraes signed an order demanding Bolsonaro hand over his passport WITHIN SEVEN MINUTES of the close of voting. Before votes had even been counted. What did he know about the vote results that enabled him to make this order within seven minutes of polls closing - seemingly confident that Bolsonaro had already lost?

I endorse this fellow's post, as well as his correct use of "Mx".
I can confirm that @FlavioBolsonaro is no longer in Brazil and is on his way to the United States. A US protective operation is underway to ensure his safety.
