Did State Corporations buy shares in Kenya Pipeline IPO to hold them for Aliko Dangote? If this is proven directly or through circumstantial evidence, it will violate every applicable provision of the Constitution, Statutes & established law. State institutions cannot be proxies for individuals. As over Kshs. 42B of public money was involved, Kenyans deserve the whole truth. In the US, the judicial system has developed the law called “facading”, where companies & its Directors are held criminally liable for financial engineering & manipulating the capital markets.

Now you understand where Dangote's bravado came from. All along, the deal had been cooked right from the top to the point of forcing pension funds & state agencies to buy-and-hold KPC shares for him. This is a bandit economy!

African billionaire Aliko Dangote has bought a 25% stake in Kenya Pipeline Company for Sh42.5 billion.
He now becomes the second-largest shareholder in KPC.

Kenya’s state-backed pension funds and agencies have reduced their combined stake in KPC from 38.35% to below 15%, following Aliko Dangote’s acquisition of a 25% stake in the company.
These state-backed institutions include:
— National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
— Public Servants Pension Scheme
— County Workers Pension Fund
— Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA)
— Pension schemes linked to Kenya Power, KPC and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).

State-backed institutions like NSSF that bought KPC shares using public and workers’ pension funds made virtually no profit from the sale to Aliko Dangote.
They bought at Sh9 per share and reportedly sold at Sh9.02, a difference of just 2 cents per share before transaction costs.

Gen Z job seekers are now ghosting employers after interviews, even after being told they are the preferred candidates.
According to one HR manager, a candidate went silent after being selected for a supervisory role. After nearly two weeks of calls and messages, he explained that he had accepted another job with “a better salary and a shorter commute.”
Candidates are increasingly considering factors beyond salary, including:
— Flexible working arrangements
— Medical benefits
— Shorter commutes
— Career growth opportunities
