the pull request is dead. Entire has the solution ⤵️
Agents reinvented how we produce code. It changed our tools and half of our workflow. It’s time for the other half to catch up. Today, we’re shipping Entire: the Git forge for agent-human collaboration. We’ve built @GoEntire using Entire. Now we want to see what you'll build with it. Here’s why and what’s different. 🧵

Content mappers in TS 7.1 are an absolute game changer It’s plugins for TypeScript: a way to dynamically compute a static type signature for external file types (.vue, .md, etc) and integrate them directly into tsc compilation
TypeScript 7.1 Beta is now available! Now with a preview API, content mapper support, new features, and some great optimizations. Give it a try and give us some feedback! devblogs.microsoft.com/types…

Jack and I have left Fern. Fern was a special place. For a long time it was where I spent most of my days, and the people there became a real part of my life. I'll miss spending time with them, in the office and outside it.

Jack has hung up his Chief Barkitect collar. After some time off (writing this from Iceland), I start something new next week. 🐾

Modern development is agent-native. The terminal is the lowest-friction surface for agents to operate in, so we built a CLI generator. We’re onboarding early access customers now at: link.buildwithfern.com/demo-…

Always the same answer with MacOS: install a 3rd party app to fix basic OS functionality > To change the default app for the play/pause button on macOS, which often defaults to Apple Music/iTunes, you need to use third-party tools, as macOS does not provide a native setting

Wow, GitHub has been the slowest it has ever been. No wonder many new companies are trying to build their own version.

Why did it have access? If a junior engineer takes down prod, it's never the junior's fault. That's an access and SDLC issue
Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. Automated snapshots were gone too. In the newsletter, I wrote the full timeline + what I changed so this doesn't happen again. If you use Terraform (or let agents touch infra), this is a good story for you to read. alexeyondata.substack.com/p/…
