I fvcked my friend's Brother in our bathroom Dev was my best friend’s older brother. Twenty-three. Construction. Big hands that knew how to fix things and how to ruin me. We’d been doing this for almost a year sneaking around behind his sister’s back, fucking like we were trying to burn the secret out of our systems. Neither of us ever planned to stop. I knew he was coming at four. At three forty-five I stepped into the shower, timed it perfectly so I’d be stepping out right as he knocked. If you think that wasn’t intentional, you haven’t been paying attention. The water was still running down my back when the knock came three firm taps. I turned the shower off, wrapped a thin white towel around myself, and opened the bathroom door just enough for the steam to spill out into the hallway. Dev stood there in a dark t-shirt stretched across his chest and jeans that had seen better days. A small tool bag hung from one hand. His eyes dropped immediately over the wet ends of my hair, the water beading on my collarbones, the way the towel clung to everything it barely covered. “Hey,” he said, voice low. “Hey.” I stepped aside so he could walk in. “It’s under the sink. Same as last time.” He didn’t answer. He just walked past me into the tiny bathroom, the scent of sawdust and clean sweat following him. I closed the door behind us and leaned against it, watching as he crouched in front of the open cabinet. The bucket was nearly overflowing. He moved it carefully aside, then reached in with those big hands and started checking the pipes. I stayed where I was for a minute, letting the towel loosen a little. Then I walked closer, close enough that when he glanced up, his face was level with the bottom edge of the towel. “You timed the shower,” he said quietly, not looking away from my thighs. “Maybe.”
