The State Leadership Initiative is proud to present The State DOGE Playbook—a practical blueprint for bringing the proven efficiency, accountability, and results of Florida’s DOGE initiative and other like-minded efforts to every state that is serious about reforming government and delivering for its citizens. SLI was honored to play a small supporting role in Florida DOGE’s efforts. We saw firsthand how a focused, first-principles team—armed with the right authority, data access, and relentless execution—can cut waste, expose fraud, and restore control to elected leaders. This document exists to carry that winning blueprint forward. It equips governors, legislators, and reform-minded executives with the exact legal vehicles, team structures, analytical methods, and implementation steps needed to stand up their own state DOGE and achieve similar victories. At SLI, our mission is simple and uncompromising: we evangelize and actively support the implementation of serious, structural government reforms that dismantle the administrative state, eliminate sacred cows, and put quality governance back in the driver’s seat. State-level DOGE efforts are proof that when conservatives stop managing decline and start executing with boldness, real transformation follows. We built this playbook for you. Use it. Adapt it. Win with it.

This is the type of endless red tape people assume Red states don’t have but in reality are shackled by.
The $1.8 million art piece at the Austin Airport ( "uplifted ground" ) might be demolished by Airport renovation The artist's foundation is offering to move it at no cost, but city has not made a decision yet, there might be some FAA regulations about moving art purchased for the airport away from the airport

Red States like Texas are throwing money hand over fist to companies like Wells Fargo while they’re debanking conservatives. The best part is that it’s hidden under “undisclosed” economic development funds…
Debanking wasn’t a conspiracy. The OCC confirmed it: all 9 largest banks had policies that could cut people off for political or religious views—or lawful businesses like guns, oil & gas, & coal. Years of warnings, now proven. Lock in permanent protections. washingtontimes.com/news/202…

The crime in Austin is a choice and Municipal Receivership is the solution.
Remember Austin, San Francisco ONLY began improving once their pathetic DA was recalled and awful mayor was voted out. Remember that the next time you vote and visit and say “wow San Francisco is nice now”.

This is why states matter. If you have effective governance at home then it transforms the mood nationwide. Florida was a purple state 8 years ago, not anymore.
Florida isn’t a national bellwether, and no one should read too much into early returns. But after weeks of hype about tightening polls and Democratic money pouring into the state, it’s notable that Republicans lead absentee returns with 800K+ ballots cast as in-person early voting opens today. Enthusiasm matters, and so far GOP voters are showing up. #flapol

American fortune 500 companies haven't stopped their DEI discrimination, they just hide it now. Eastman Chemical is headquarters in Tennessee and removed the DEI page in English but kept in in Spanish. But according to their website, they still explicitly hire with the goal of "double-digit growth in racially and ethnically diverse talent."
Dow Inc. is one of the largest chemical engineering companies in America and to this day they explicitly brag about how they ethnically discriminate in their hiring process against this young man. Texas and Louisiana also paid them nearly 800 million dollars to do so. Red states need to cut off funding to companies that refuse to hire Americans and engage in this type of discrimination.

LyondellBasell Industries has sex based discrimination in their hiring and promotion systems. They're literally bragging about it. Once again Texas and Louisiana are rewarding these companies for their discriminatory hiring practices to the tune of 200+ million dollars.

For decades the left has understood this and applied it across the country. They are willing to control the bureaucracy by any means and especially through lawfare and intimidation. This is how a swamp is created, from DC to your state.
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics. @ElissaSlotkin

What we call an affordability crisis is actually a regulatory crisis. You pay more because the state and local governments are making it illegal to drive gas cars and build new housing.

This must be fixed immediately. Deregulation includes allowing for flying cars.
is the new flying Tesla legal in your state?

Until it’s explicitly cut off. It should be assumed that this is happening in every Red state.
NEW: Comptroller @DonHuffines is cutting off taxpayer funding for DEI programs. Under a new executive order, state contractors and grant recipients must certify they aren't engaging in discriminatory DEI practices—or risk immediate termination of their agreements.

You can fire the bureaucracy and everything will work just fine.
DOGE worked. Most importantly, the civil service is 12% smaller than it was in Jan 2025. In the Fall @CityJournal, I show they were not replaced by contractors, the biggest cuts were to middle managers, and the predictions of disaster were proven false. city-journal.org/article/dog…
