Set in a Welsh fishing community, Helen Walsh’s low-budget queer romance traces a tender, risky affair shaped by illness, family duty and the pressures of tradition. Alex Davidson reviews On the Sea, in cinemas tomorrow. bfi.org.uk/sight-and-sound/r…

Helen Walsh's beautifully observed queer love story about a Welsh mussel farmer and an itinerant deckhand, ON THE SEA, is both melancholy and sensual, anchored by a vivid sense of place. Really stayed with me. My @THR review from @ptownfilm hollywoodreporter.com/movies…
