Finally got this thing to a "presentable" state. Here's Prisma, a node based file converter, compressor and tweaker. Test is, use it and break some pipelines (if u do so there's a feedback button in the top left menu :D) prisma.zip/

Opus 5.5 in Ultracode effort, consumed 2 and a half 5 hours sessions on the Pro plan and used this prompt: make a dynamic 15-second motion graphics video about Prisma that shows what an incredible motion designer you are, like it's your showreel for a résumé. go all out.

So Opus 5.5 just 1 shotted this. Holy shit. It's not perfect, it's not 1:1 accurate on everything but it's really impressive for the basic prompt I gave it.

Now that Prisma is in a solid state I have a couple of things on my agenda: improve and optimize the app, refine the icon set, redraw the mobile breakpoint and finish designing two big new features I had in mind.
34
A simple toolbar to quickly access whatever you might need
32
A small detail I love in Prisma: when a card takes focus, its ring does not just appear, it grows in softly around the card.

Currently redrawing every icon in Prisma. Small to major changes across the board. Built from @huge_icons

New in Prisma: select a few files and their wires merge into one. One snip cuts them all loose.

My favourite hover in Prisma, inspired by Cosmo Supply: run down the menu and the highlight slides in from the side your pointer came from

Just joined on.design to share some stuff

A simple interaction needs a simple animation

Prisma fades smoothly between dark and light theme to make the transition less harsh

One of my favourite little details in Prisma is this pixelated loading effect, inspired by the amazing @osmosupply

New Copy button under the Download button. Convert, compress or tweak a picture, then paste it straight into Figma, Slack or a doc. No download, no digging through your folder.

The biggest Prisma update yet. PDF and Illustrator files now convert to real, editable SVG. GIFs come out up to 14x smaller, PNG compression shrinks even more, AVIF works both ways, and it opens Sony RAW, RAR and CSV.

A PDF becomes a real vector SVG. Text and shapes come out as paths you can open in Figma, and it says so when a page was a photo all along.

Prisma converts to AVIF now. Smaller than WebP, and the card tells you when WebP would have won instead.

Currently working on the mobile view of Prisma. Goals are to keep it as simple and accessible as possible while still offering everything the desktop version has.

I've started using @tldraw over the past few weeks and I gotta say, it's an amazing app. It does pretty much everything I want in a very simple, clean, and quick way. But I've got one issue.

I also don't love that closing the app takes me back to the home screen. I'd much rather have an option to disable both behaviors. If I need to open a file, I could just drag and drop it onto my current canvas and have it open as a new file, or use another quick way to open one.

Jumping straight in when I open tldraw and leaving straight from the canvas when I close it would make the whole experience feel much more seamless. @steveruizok, is there anything that can be done?
