Aston Villa held an important working meeting today to plan the club's future and lay the foundations for its long-term sporting and institutional project.
The meeting brought together Nassef Sawiris, the club's Chairman and Unai Emery alongside President of Football Operations Roberto Olabe and Director of Football Operations Damián Vidagany.
The discussions focused on jointly planning the club's long-term strategic direction, with positive discussions establishing a clear commitment beyond 2029 for the joint development of the club under the sporting leadership of Unai Emery based on the shared ambitions and common goal to reach excellency and keep growing during the next years.
The objective is clear: to build an ambitious, competitive Aston Villa capable of taking on the biggest challenges and achievements.

Can I just say what a magnificent club Aston Villa are. A really top club. A BIG club. As big as any in the world, maybe even the universe.
And what a superb fanbase too. Top, top, top fanbase. Genuinely, just full marks all round.

It’s been a while since I’ve left Villa Park frustrated, especially under Emery, but tonight is one of them. 1st half & 2nd half were light and day. It’s a bad result. But blimey, I’m sure an appointment at the Camp Nou will provide some perspective … keep the faith #AVFC
Adam is my favourite creator out there at the moment. He’s also a Villa fan.
He’s nailed it here – it’s embarrassing from Villa this, if you want to be a big club you need to rise above clapping back to banter… that’s kinda the whole point

Christian Benteke is the only player in Premier League history to have scored goals on Halloween, Bonfire Night, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and his own birthday.
I’m personally not a huge fan of what the club have done, however you can’t argue with this either ⬇️🤝
Nassef isn’t suing Carragher because he thinks a High Court judge is going to slap a damages order on a podcast rant. He’s doing it because the entire media class has spent years treating Villa (#avfc) as a convenient stepping stone and a permanent second tier.
Carragher didn’t just give an opinion. He told the fans to "shut the fuck up" and declared the club can never reach the level of the traditional powers, right as the ownership has poured hundreds of millions in, won the Europa League, and got the team competing in Europe properly. That isn’t banter to the people who actually own and run the club. It’s a direct fucking insult to these owners who've done a terrific job rejuvenating the club and running it better than at least 3 of the media six, it's an attempt to set the ceiling in public and keep the hierarchy story alive.
Sawiris has form for pushing back when he thinks the system or the narrative is stacked against the project. This is the same instinct. Put the statement out, make the pundits and the wider media think twice about casually writing Villa off as forever below United, and show the fanbase that the ownership won’t sit quiet while the club’s rise gets dismissed. Whether it ever reaches a courtroom is almost beside the point. The message is the point.
If you want the current hierarchy left unchallenged, fine. Call it tinpot. The people who rebuilt the club from the brink of HMRC winding them up clearly see it differently.
The Carra drama. I don’t think anyone is questioning if Man United are a bigger club than Villa. If United were setup correctly, they could poach Emery. But Villa give him the keys, are better run and give him a project he loves and sees a future with. Simple really #AVFC

Tomorrow, Villa Park will unite in remembrance ahead of our Premier League fixture against Fulham 💜

Unai Emery: "If we are thinking after the match against Fulham, then we are making a mistake and we are completely wrong. We are prioritising the Premier League, and this is the message. We have a lack of points, and although we are getting better, if we want to be consistent like last year, we must focus on the match tomorrow, prioritising it, and focusing and respecting them, playing so focused and intense in the match, respecting them."
