I know the refs shouldn’t decide games or some bs like that…but that logic (maybe) applies to 50/50 calls and battles. Trouba targeted the head, snapped it back when he hit Meier. In an @hockeycanada game I’m going Major and GM. Game 1 of the season or game 7 of a playoff series
A quick refresher on the playoff rulebook, from a piece we did for Rob Vollman's @HockeyAbstract a few years back...
I was thrilled to be part of the @BCHockey_Source Senior Women’s AA Championships this weekend. Some photos of the great crews I worked with and watched.
Championship Sunday begins at Hope and District Arena for the @BCHockey_Source St Women’s AA banner. Bronze at 10:00 and Gold at 12:15. Your @BCHockey_Refs are ready for some great hockey.
This crew worked a very tough game with excellence. Sometimes our @BCHockey_Source players step over the line, and this team was there to ensure safe and fair hockey.
Excellent crew for a championship game! I was thrilled to work with all the great officials who made this championship an event to remember.
Well done Amy and Mel. Two amazing members of the @BCHockey_Source family!
Fresh off officiating the gold medal game at the Canada Winter Games, BC Hockey and Hockey Canada OPOE official Amy Laroche takes part in the ceremonial puck drop at tonight’s Vancouver Canucks game! #IWD2023

This is an example of why we need to support officials and not worry about the fragile egos of the coaches, parents or executives who berate, belittle or bully them. @BCHockey_Refs …I’ve got your back

I would never step on the ice with a bias toward one team or another. But in a game I’m not refereeing… go Cumby.
I love this too. I am always pleased when an @BCHockey_Refs issues a 10 for dissension to the player who didn’t commit the original foul. Cleans up the players behaviour pretty quick.
Atta boy @Zachary11_87. Another @SemiahmooRavens official excelling on a provincial stage. Proud of you kid!
Great program for all young officials. These two are excellent leaders and will make an amazing camp that will hone skills and allow you to develop lifelong friends in officiating
Excited to announce the Lead Instructors for Summer Officiating School in Salmon Arm. Bobby Williamson of @BCHockeyLeague & Alex Cole of @USPORTSca

This is an amazing move by @BCHockey_Refs and the @BCHockey_Source board. Never been a better time to start officiating! #morethandroppingpucks
It’s all kinds of silly to take a Major right after your team takes a lead at home. And make no mistake, that’s a major every time.
Game 1 on Monday at Surrey Sport and Leisure sees @BCHockey_Refs Ryan Bailey (@CoquitlamMHA), Zachary Mahaffy (@semihockey) and Nick Gillam (@langleyminor) on the ice.
Was thrilled to work the final round robin in the @PCAHA_Female Scholarship Tournament with Rorey Alderson and @hayleylee1406. Thanks to @surrey_falcons for hosting. A great game by both teams including several @BCHockey_Refs.
Last game of the @PCAHAMain U18 T1 Final 4. Your @BCHockey_Refs are (L to R) Jakob Brandstrom, Zachary Mahaffy and Marek Gunn. Good luck to @RustlersHockey who try to punch their ticket to provincials which will be hosted by their opponents tonight from @CloverdaleMHA
