The players need to learn emotional intelligence and code switching to help them deal with what comes with college athletics.

I was there. It was awesome. Heart over Height, amongst other things, at its best.
I have noticed that too. No jumping up and down and high 5-ving their players.
I know it’s been @NCAA Exhibition season but there a lot of coaching staff bench’s that need to get EXCITED and show some ENTHUSIASM for their players making plays and making plays for others. Man— Have some fun!Encourage them. Get excited for their progress.
It goes fast !!
This is facts. These players today don’t train their body to play 82 games and run a little more. They are working on their bag. NBA training camp is not a training camp and when the season starts they don’t practice. SMH.
Gilbert Arenas says it’s sad with all these injuries they haven’t came to their senses, how about this fu*k a doctor:
“Fu*k a doctor because that doctor is a regular human being, right? He’s normal. Athletes are very different they need different training. You guys are having soft tissue, pulls, tears. There’s a reason, you’re not jumping no higher than nobody did before you, you’re not running faster did before. So we’re taking why you are getting injured? And you want to blame the shoes motherfu*kers wore chucks and sandals back then, right? The difference is they trained like their sport.”

Coach P was great skill teacher. I was 6’7” 195 lbs and used to destroy 6-10’s and 7 footers in the post.
Throwing it back to 1987, when Rick Pitino was breaking down the fundamentals of the low-post game and explaining what made Bernard King so effective.
An incredible piece of basketball history showcasing Coach Pitino’s knowledge of the game.

I know there wasn't social media back then but did you experience this to the extent that we see it today or is it just that social media has given a voice to dumbasses?

Pitino summer camp in the 90s was so full of lessons on how to play the game. I learned so much and it gave me such an advantage going into high school. All time experience
Thank you 🙏🏾

All athletes should delete their social media accounts if they don’t have a deal to promote some product. If they are not using their accts for this they are really useless. Because people are just going to try to hate on them just because.

He is right. NBA players have broken the code of keeping things team & lockeroom wise in house. Players can’t trust each other anymore because they think it will go on a podcast for clicks. It’s hurt team’s camaraderie.
Udonis Haslem says some NBA players reveal too much on their podcasts, explaining why he refuses to share a private conversation with Dwyane Wade
Speaking with Jabari Young, Haslem says certain locker room stories and personal conversations should stay private, even when sharing them could generate attention. He reveals that Wade recently spoke publicly about a deeply personal conversation they once had, but Haslem chose never to discuss it out of love and respect for his longtime teammate. For Haslem, protecting the relationships he values matters more than getting attention from the media.
