Michael Burry is betting against this. They saw the power grid data. America needs 130 gigawatts of electricity by 2030 for AI data centers. That power does not exist. Will not exist. OpenAI revenue is $12.7 billion. Valuation is $500 billion. That multiple assumes six years of perfect execution. But the power grid cannot support year one. Bank of America surveyed 202 fund managers controlling $550 billion. For the first time since 2005 they say companies are overinvesting. 53% call this a bubble. Cash levels hit 3.7%. Below 4.0% is the historical sell signal. Bitcoin sits at $93,000. Down 26% from peaks. At seven month lows. Moving in lockstep with tech. Not decoupling. Confirming the risk-off. Seven stocks are 40% of the S&P 500. Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Tesla. When they reprice, everything reprices. Your 401k. Your pension. Your index funds.
