Last week, Allie and Zoe made it up to Oregon for @SustainableNW's Fall Energy Symposium. They engaged with stakeholders of AR 681, and were educated on pertinent topics like community energy resilience, biomass, and ecosystemic resilience.

SB 913 has moved onto the Governor’s desk! This bill would require the California Public Utilities Commission to allow aggregated DERs, like smart thermostats and other small energy resources, to be included in resource adequacy capacity.

AB 1813 made it to Governor Newsom’s desk! This bill would direct the California Public Utilities Commission to create a 5 MW-maximum renewable energy subscription program for communities.

SB 868 passed both houses! This bill would expand access to solar for those who have been left out of California’s clean energy transition. SB 868 would particularly benefit renters and multifamily housing by expanding access to balcony solar as an alternative to rooftop solar.

AB 1738 is on the Governor’s Desk! This bill would require cities to offer the option of requesting remote inspections for building permits, including solar and battery installations. Allowing this would streamline the permit process for solar and storage interconnection.
