Well this is awkward….
The economist has shown that immigrants from outside of Europe are more likely to commit sexual crimes.
Non-EU immigration happened after Brexit
And during a Conservative government
Obviously. Brexit genuinely made no sense.
We voted for more immigration outside of Europe for the benefit of a 5% decrease in the economy.
And of course the loss of London dominating Europe:
“The single biggest lever to grow our economy is to get a better deal with the EU.”
Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper makes the case for closer ties with Europe, including joining the Single Market and Customs Union and restoring freedom of movement.
Less red tape for businesses, more jobs and opportunities, and a stronger economy that puts money back in people's pockets.

“Our grandparents created the common market, our parents the common currency. It is up to our generation to create the United States of Europe.”
Gabriel Attal is making the case for a united Europe. A common market was not enough. A common currency was not enough. The next step is a common destiny.
Europe has the scale. It has the talent. It has the civilization. Now it needs the political will.
This is the ambition Europe needs. Europe cannot afford to think small.
The right get off scot free despite being Europes biggest killer through division.

You miss the actual most important fact that Europe has fragmented capital markets so if can’t compete with the US’s scale.
This is something that the right is against, through Brexit. Expecting the UK with a $4.3 trillion gdp and 70 million population against the US with a 80 trillion stock market, 340 million population and $33 trillion GDP is crazy.
You can’t compare the USA to EU. The USA is a fully federlised single economy of 50 states. The EU is a loose semi united economic organisation.
Farage ironically here makes the point for EU federalism.
The right are not nationalists.
Every man should want to fight for his country.
Incredible statistic by @TheEconomist which finally shows sex crimes by nationality controlled by age and sex.
It is not racist to base immigration policy off of country if you are protecting women statistically.
Should we make it 7 times less likely for Afghans to get Visa’s?
Or
Ban Afghan men from immigrating to the UK?
Points based immigration system penalising them from these countries.
Afghans should be 7x less likely to get a visa.
Is the French election actually far right vs far left?
Nope, its socialist vs socialist both who will fail when the bond market kicks in them out.
Replying to @RejoinNowUK @grok
What spending cutting are you talking about? Even the RN demands a lower retirement age.
Opinion?
Replying to @MichaelAArouet @grok
I don’t see how France can be fixed because such a large % of the economy is just government spending. Cutting spending therefore just cuts the economy.
Well this is awkward….
Brexiter mentions the EU being at fault for car manufacturing decreasing in Europe.
So what happens when we test this in the real world and have a country leave the EU?
Oh right, we actually did this….
These are the results.
Why are the right so statistically illiterate?

Mass migration is a myth, debate me.
Replying to @ivor_bacon @TheHughAnthony
The UK’s birth rate has been sub replacement since 1972. Annual population growth has been 0.67% since 2000.
That is not mass migration, its common sense.

Brexiteers claim that rejoining the EU would mean losing control of immigration
Reality check: after Brexit, the UK saw record levels of non-EU immigration under the immigration system Brexiteers created
Non-EU net migration exceeded 1 million in the year ending March 2023
🇬🇧🇪🇺
Makes no sense
So true.
Here's an extraordinary comparison.
Economists estimated that Brexit was costing the Treasury at least £40 billion a year in lost tax revenue.
And how much did Rishi Sunak announce in tax increases in March 2022?
£46 billion.
Think about that. Britain lost £40 billion in annual tax revenue through Brexit, while the then Chancellor announced tax rises worth £46 billion.
That's almost the same amount.
We were promised Brexit would make Britain richer and free up money for public services.
Instead, we made ourselves poorer — and taxpayers were left facing the bill.
This was a direct result of leaving the single market.

The only thing stopping the PM having an honest discussion is Labour’s EU red lines.
Removing them will get our economy growing and give us the chance to join the EU Migration and Asylum Pact.
That’s how we create a controlled, fair and safe asylum system.
