Coinbase CEO: Banks Shouldn't Lend Out Your Deposits Without Your Knowledge
On September 15, 2026, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong @brian_armstrong said in an interview that banks should not lend out customer deposits without depositors’ knowledge or consent, describing the practice as a legacy of the fractional reserve system.
He also said regulated stablecoins backed by eligible reserve assets under the GENIUS Act may carry lower risks than traditional bank deposits. Armstrong added that high regulatory barriers have limited innovation in banking and contributed to greater market concentration among a small number of large institutions.
With the right discipline and focus, a good plan and perhaps a dump truck full of modafinil combined with AI, you could get a better education than that provided by Harvard, Yale, MIT and Caltech. All for free. If the point is education, that's a great alternative. If the point is rubbing elbows with the children of influential people, then the AI method won't do much good. And there appears to be tremendous benefits to befriending the rich and famous and their children.

Question: How much treason is enough treason for someone to be tried for treason in America?
Is it 'back to college' week or something? I was at Home Goods, Marshall's and Target yesterday and I saw quite a few mom / child combos shopping for bedding, simple silverware, storage boxes and so on. And the moms were all giving the kids advice on what they needed vs what they didn't need. It felt very back to schoolish.

Just got so overheated mucking out the coops. Little Rey kept attacking me while I worked on his coop so he got his happy ass thrown in a cat carrier until I was done. Mucked out three coops and I’m done. I came in and had a big swig of some pickle juice and some water. I’m currently having some pickles and feel much better.

I'm confused about this vote to release records regarding the government's sexual harassment slush fund. The vote passed. But what exactly passed? It just says, "Directing the Committee on Ethics to preserve and publicly release records of the Committee’s review of violations or alleged violations of clause 9 (as it pertains to acts of sexual harassment) and clause 18 of rule XXIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives."
Does that mean they've handed it off to someone else to 'preserve and release'? What am I missing?
