I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this bill is trash.
Get your sh*t together @HouseGOP.
Bynum: I want to start off by saying just how laughable it is to be calling this bill “beautiful” and I would like to replace that word with “trash.”
It is a trash bill and here is why. It is a bill that threatens $300 billion in cuts to food assistance, it is a bill that puts health care further out of reach for nearly 14 million people. It is a bill that will make it so families have to choose between putting food on the table or filling a prescription. It is a bill that does nothing to lower costs or address the housing crisis
We should be able to watch our kids bounce into school with their backpacks on and know we’ll get to hug them again.
Parents shouldn’t have to wait for a crisis to get their child help.
Keeping our kids safe means intervening early - and making sure families have somewhere to turn when they speak up.

Wherever you are tonight, please join us in a moment of silence for everyone affected by the tragic school shooting in Bend, Oregon. Our hearts are with the Bend community. Let’s be there for each other. Stay loud.
As we navigate the days ahead, I’m sharing resources below for anyone who needs support. Please keep checking in on each other. There’s no right way to feel right now.

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
We will always remember the light and life of our babies that we lost yesterday in Bend.

Rep. Janelle Bynum (D-OR) after the deadly school shooting Bend, Oregon:
"They’re killing our babies. Shredding our kids with lead. Forcing us to live in fear. I feel this deep, deep, deep in my soul. Our whole community does. Our whole state does. And the whole nation should. Our babies are supposed to do arts and crafts at school, not use their desks as cover from gunfire"
Breast cancer is devastating enough. The fact that Black women are more likely to die from it should be unacceptable to all of us.
Every woman deserves a fighting chance, and that means access to screenings, treatment, and care before it's too late.
This isn't just a statistic to talk about. It's a reality we have to change. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth
