Need help with your passport?
The Henderson County Courthouse in Hendersonville is now offering passport services, making it easier for local residents to apply for a passport close to home. My office helped connect the Henderson County Register of Deeds with the U.S. Department of State to make this service available to our community.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is reopening six years ahead of schedule following Hurricane Helene!
Through state and federal resources and strong partnerships, Western North Carolina is making significant progress in recovery. This milestone restores access to one of our region’s most treasured landmarks and supports the local businesses and communities that depend on it.
In FY2025, the VA permanently housed 51,936 homeless Veterans — the highest total in seven years!
This progress reflects coordination between the VA and Congress to put resources where they're needed most, including right here in Western North Carolina, where our office has closed nearly 600 VA cases for constituents since 2023.
If you or someone you know needs assistance, please call 865-EDWARDS.
I voted for H.R. 1 because rural communities deserve access to quality health care, and that starts with making sure our providers have the tools they need.
This funding will help expand mental health and substance use services and give rural providers access to technology that can improve the way they deliver care. This is an important investment in rural North Carolina and the patients who call these communities home.

Two years ago, Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina and changed our lives here in the mountains.
Our communities have shown tremendous strength and resilience, and we have made significant progress in rebuilding. But the work isn’t finished. I will continue working with our federal, state and local partners to make sure Western North Carolina has the resources it needs to finish the job.

Two years after Helene, U.S. Rep. Chuck Edwards acknowledged that residents still waiting for help may see recovery differently than those whose lives have returned closer to normal. Full interview: wlos.com/news/local/2-years-…
Two years ago today, Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina.
Our communities have shown incredible strength over the past two years, but recovery takes time.
There’s still work ahead and I’ll continue working to ensure that Western North Carolina has the resources and support needed to finish the job.

Nearly $14.5 million in FEMA reimbursement funds are headed to communities across NC-11, including Henderson, Yancey, Mitchell, Madison, Haywood, Buncombe and McDowell counties, to support permanent repairs and continued Hurricane Helene recovery. 🚨
Recovery is personal.
Over the past two years, our office has helped thousands of Western North Carolinians navigate FEMA and other federal agencies and we’ve closed more than 6,000 cases.

Investing in rural health care means investing in the future of Western North Carolina.
I supported $1 million in Community Project Funding for Blue Ridge Community Health Services and Mountain Community Health Partnership to expand access to care and strengthen our rural health care workforce.
Following my letter to Secretary Rollins, I’m glad to see @USDA preserve the Southern Research Station in Asheville and Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory in Macon County.
These institutions are critical to Western North Carolina, especially as we continue recovering from Hurricane Helene.

Safer skies. Economic opportunity. Stronger governance.
Those priorities took center stage across multiple hearings as Appropriators gathered testimony and conducted oversight across THUD, NSRP, and FSGG proceedings.

Rural health care requires a strong workforce.
I supported the FY27 LHHS bill, which provides $1.43 billion to strengthen the health care workforce and connect providers with rural communities that need them.
