Very pleased to report that the federal GRANITE Act, H.R. 10174 - a foreign censorship shield bill - has its first cosponsor, one of the most principled civil liberties advocates in Congress: @RepThomasMassie!

Y'day @RepMichaelRulli introduced the GRANITE Act, the first federal foreign censorship shield bill in American history. Full bill text + my analysis:

I just tweet a lot. A major driver of GRANITE Act adoption has actually been @RepDanielSingh, who continues to move the ball forward in Wyoming and was largely responsible for getting the GRANITE proposal adopted by ALEC as national model policy.
There are several ways to push back against different forms of foreign censorship efforts:
1. Making your voice heard in Congress and the state legislature when theyāre considering adopting foreign censorship bills.
2. If that fails, challenge these laws in court. Foreign regimes have an easier time censoring their own citizens because they lack strong legal protection. @NetChoice has a strong track record in court stopping these laws under the First Amendment.
(H/t to @prestonjbyrne & @ASI as they attempt to strengthen free speech protection in the UK)
3. Make sure foreign censors are stopped at our shores by making it impossible for OfCom and other aspects of the censorship apparatus from enforcing their speech restrictions against Americans & American companies by passing the GRANITE Act in Congress (Preston is once again leading the charge here).

There are two competing visions for free speech in Britain now: a US-style approach, proposed by @ASI, and a more conservative view, proposed by the @Prosperity_Inst.
Which vision of the future do you prefer - one, the other, or a combination of them?

Itās been an honor meeting so many folks across the district. And Iāll admit, some of my favorite members of the community have four legs. š¾šŗšø
Early voting begins July 21, and Primary Election Day is August 18.
Yesterday I went fishing for the first time at Glendo, and we had a great day. We caught 18 walleye, 5 perch, and a crappie.
I hope everyone gets a chance this summer to enjoy the beautiful scenery, state parks, and outdoor opportunities weāre blessed with here in Wyoming.
