My staff and I stopped by Adams Brown Recycling and visited with Dan Wickerham, the Director of Adams Brown Community Action Partnership.  Voluntary recycling helps protect our natural resources and supports the local economy. It was great to learn more about the work being done at this facility and hear from local stakeholders about important issues in southern Ohio.

It was great visiting the Adams County Board of Elections! Thankful for the opportunity to meet with election officials who work to ensure Ohio’s elections are fair and free of fraud.

Recently, I visited the Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District. Their work is essential, as they help landowners implement practices that improve the health of our beautiful natural resources in southern Ohio. Their team helps keep our agricultural economy strong by renting out vital farm equipment, providing manure assessments, technical assistance, and educational outreach. I am thankful for the work they do and appreciate the opportunity to visit!

Yesterday, I stopped by Mirac Tabtronics in Manchester, Ohio. Mirac Tabtronics is a high-tech manufacturing company that specializes in electronic assembly, including circuit boards and wire harnesses.  Their reputation for producing high-quality products is unmatched, and I look forward to seeing them grow in southern Ohio.  Thank you to President Ed Carter and his staff for allowing me to tour their facility!

American tax dollars belong to the American people. @POTUS and @VP are right to call out SNAP fraud and my bills - the Deporting Fraudsters Act and the SNAP Fraud Reporting Act - are the solution. Let’s get them to President Trump’s desk and end this madness!

Charity and I, along with members of my staff, were invited by Kirchhoff Automotive in Waverly, Ohio to participate in their second annual Kids Around the World Initiative. Volunteers throughout the community came together to pack nutrient rich meals for impoverished children around the world. Thank you Kirchhoff Automotive for bringing the community together with this meaningful and much needed project!

Celebrating more than 200 years of family farming right here in Ross County! This weekend I was pleased to honor 7 farms that represent generations of hard work, dedication, and stewardship of our prime farmland that keeps food on Buckeye families’ tables. Local farms like Blue Chew Farms, Dunlap Farms, Cory Farms, Chenoweth Farms, Dill Farms, SKM Farms, and Peterson Farms secure our food supply chain and keep our local economy moving forward. In Congress, I was proud to support legislation making it easier than ever for families to pass their farms to the next generation. Thank you to Steve Hirsch of Hirsch Fruit Farm for bringing farmers together on your beautiful orchard!

Great stopping by the Scioto Township Volunteer Fire Department in Jackson County to thank the first responders there for keeping our community safe! Celebrating 50 years of service to Jackson County, this volunteer department is powered by the men and women who make themselves available to serve Buckeye families on their darkest days. Thank you to Chief Jarrod Denney and your crew for all you do!

Charity and I were honored to recognize the rich history and lasting legacy of President Ulysses S. Grant at the Land of U.S. Grant Forum in Georgetown, Ohio! An Ohio native who rose to become the Commanding General of the Union Army and the 18th President of the United States, Grant holds an important place in our state’s and nation’s history. This event brought together historians, educators, and community members to preserve his legacy and inspire future generations. Thank you to the team at The Land of U.S. Grant for making this celebration possible!

It was a pleasure joining Liberty Landing for a ribbon cutting in New Richmond this afternoon! This redesigned marina and streetscape project is a welcome development in our community, and we’re grateful to the State of Ohio’s Appalachian Grant program for making this $13.4 million project possible. Southern Ohio is growing quickly, and I was proud to help celebrate today!

Great meeting with Brown County Veterans Services this afternoon! I chatted with Director Kenneth Tyler Crank and his team about the needs they’re seeing among our local veteran community and how Congress can best support their programs. I will continue to be a staunch advocate for our heroes in Congress!

I was honored to attend the Adams County Medical Foundation Gala recently and celebrate the support they are providing to Adams County families! They provide scholarships for students seeking careers in the medical field, helping set them up for a successful future. It was great saying hello to CEO Alan Bird of the Regional Medical Center and Executive Director Cherish Williams of the Foundation. I look forward to continuing to work alongside local organizations to ensure southern Ohio students and families have an opportunity to thrive!

I recently toured the new Cincinnati Children’s Eastgate facility in Union Township, where Operations Manager Barbie Price filled me in on their facilities’ capabilities and the services they provide. I appreciated talking with their staff and learning more about their operations in our community.

This morning I headed out to Higginsport for the Slim Sallee Memorial River Park Ribbon Cutting! It’s wonderful to see developments like this one in our community that Buckeye families can enjoy for decades to come.
