China must be banned from buying our farmland because American farmland belongs to American farmers — period. #IA04

As severe rainfall continues to move across Iowa this afternoon and evening, I urge everyone to follow guidance from local officials, avoid unnecessary travel, and keep aware of the forecast.
While we've had a rainy September already, flash flooding is likely tonight in parts of the state. Have a way to receive warnings and anticipate water issues in sensitive urban and low-lying areas. #iawx
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ray Gaesser.
He was an incredible leader for our state, and Iowa benefited greatly from his experience, wisdom, and passion for bettering the lives of our farmers.
I am especially grateful to have worked with Ray through his service on my Agriculture Advisory Board. Lynette and I are praying for Ray’s family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Earlier this year the Administration delivered a historic win for farmers, energy producers, and drivers by releasing record level obligations for homegrown biofuels.
At a time when our farm economy needs our help the most, I am concerned that changes to SRE exemptions would undermine domestic demand.
This morning, my staff attended the Kossuth Area Economic Development Corporation Annual Breakfast in Whittemore.
Partnering with communities like Whittemore is vital to strengthen our Main Streets, grow our economy, and drive future investments.
It was great to have Secretary of Education Linda McMahon in Fort Dodge to announce the historic first approval of the Workforce Pell Program — the Iowa Central Emergency Medical Technician Program.
This is great news for the next generation of Iowans looking to enter the workforce!
I am pleased to see the Stop Insider Trading Act, which I co-sponsored, pass the House.
Public service should always be about serving the people, not personal financial gain. Members of Congress should not be getting richer because of the office they hold.
Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, small businesses are seeing real relief—and you can hear it for yourself:
“Following its [corporate tax rate] reduction to 21%, Sukup hired roughly 200 additional employees, growing our workforce by a third.” — Tom Mangan, President and CEO of Sukup Manufacturing
Small businesses like Sukup Manufacturing are growing, hiring, and investing thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts!
This week, Team Feenstra had the joy of joining the kickoff games for the Iowa Girls State Softball Tournament in Fort Dodge, where nearly 40 teams competed across five classes!
Iowa continues to lead the way in athletics, and I can’t wait to see how far these talented athletes go. Good luck to all the teams!
I’m praying for everyone injured and for the family of the individual who tragically lost their life in yesterday’s devastating train crash in Arion.
I’m grateful to the first responders who responded quickly and courageously to the scene. Please join me in keeping everyone affected in your prayers.
We mourn the loss of these brave Americans and honor their service and sacrifice. I pray for the families and loved ones of our fallen servicemembers.
CENTCOM Statement on Recently Fallen, Missing U.S. Service Members
TAMPA, Fla. — On July 17, two U.S. service members in Jordan were killed in action as U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks. Additionally, one service member is currently missing.
Four American service members were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals. They have since been discharged. Other personnel who were evaluated for minor injuries have returned to duty.
Out of respect for the families, CENTCOM will withhold additional information, including the identities of the fallen warriors, until 24 hours after the next of kin have been notified.
This summer, I welcomed my final cohort of interns as a Member of Congress.
It has been a joy to have so many talented Iowans, students, and young professionals engage in public service, experience the federal policymaking process, and help serve Iowa’s Fourth District.
Aubrey and Elle have played an essential role in our office. They have answered calls from constituents each day and ensured their voices and concerns are heard. I am incredibly grateful for their hard work, dedication, and service, and our entire team has been fortunate to have them with us.

.@RepFeenstra spoke to the entire Corn Congress delegation about E15, input prices and rural communities. The conversation continued as Heath Brant from Rep. Feenstra’s office spoke directly with Iowa corn farmers.
Today, I had the honor of accepting the NCGA President’s Award in recognition of my advocacy for our corn growers and year-round E15.
Representing the largest corn-producing district in the nation, I have seen firsthand the challenges facing our farmers. That’s why I was proud to help champion and pass year-round E15 in the House.
Our work is far from done. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Senate to get this bill across the finish line and signed into law.

Congratulations to @RepFeenstra on receiving the NCGA President’s Award! Representative Feenstra earned this by being a staunch supporter for corn farmers in the halls of Congress. He has been a reliable defender of rural America, and for that we are grateful.
The RuralSTAMINA Biomanufacturing Research initiative, led by Iowa State, has been named as a NSF Regional Innovation Engine. This initiative will receive $15 million over the next 2 years to launch the NSF Biomanufacturing Engine which will aim to accelerate the bioeconomy by creating new economic opportunities for producers and communities across Iowa and Nebraska.
This investment in creating new value-added products has the potential to grow to as much as $160 million over the next decade.
A huge congratulations to Plas-Tech Tooling in Garner for advancing to the semifinals of the Freedom 250 Patriot Pitch Competition!
Selected from thousands of applicants, this competition recognizes the very best of America’s small businesses that drive innovation, create jobs, and fuel economic growth.
I had the privilege to visit Plas-Tech Tooling, and have seen their incredible machining capabilities. Iowans like Dean and Marcia Sonquist are one of the many reasons our Main Streets thrive. Please join me in congratulating them on this outstanding achievement!
I was honored to work with @FLOTUS to help get this bill across the finish line for our nation's foster children.
Nearly 2 months ago, the House unanimously passed the Fostering the Future Act. As the most significant reform to the Chafee Foster Youth Program since its creation, this legislation would be a historic investment in the future of our nation’s foster youth.
We worked with @FLOTUS to get this bill across the finish line in the House. It's time for the Senate to act so President Trump can sign these critical reforms into law.
Trump Accounts are now live!
If your child was born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, and has a valid Social Security number, they are eligible to receive $1,000 to invest in their future and jump-start the American Dream.
