Thank you to @1SI_Chamber for having me for a fireside chat with business leaders from across IN-09. It was a privilege to discuss our work in Washington and learn how we can continue to help southern Indiana in Congress. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to talk about our work on permitting reform to reduce energy costs for every American!🇺🇸
Conco, Inc. in Scottsburg is keeping our military battle-ready by manufacturing artillery containers.
My team was honored to attend their ribbon cutting in February and I enjoyed stopping by to see the important defense work happening here. Southern Indiana is home to a strong and growing defense industry, and Conco is playing an important role in keeping our servicemembers equipped.

Two years ago today, President Trump worked the fry station.
He's been COOKING ever since:
- No tax on tips.
- No tax on overtime.
- Zero releases at the border.
- Woke is DEAD.
🇺🇸
Thrilled to see this commonsense ruling!
This is a major step toward keeping kids safe online and a good sign we are on the right track with the 16 & Up Act and the Guardian Act. It’s time to restore parental rights for social media access for kids.
The deadline to apply for individual assistance from @fema for the August disaster declaration is October 25. Apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov or call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. For further information and resources, call my office at (812) 288-3999.
Easy yes from me!
Proud to sign @VP’s pledge to fight fraud. The @WHFraudTF and @HouseGOP have been laser-focused on ensuring American taxpayer dollars are not stolen by scammers.
I’ve been leading this effort on @HouseCommerce by introducing the Strategic Task Force on Scam Prevention Act, which passed Committee and will soon head to the House floor.
Protecting Americans and their hard-earned dollars from scams and fraud is a priority I’ll keep fighting for.

Today, on what would have been his 33rd birthday, our Nation honors the loving memory of Charlie Kirk - a father, husband, Christian martyr, & titan of the conservative movement.
We renew our resolve to always defend our principles of truth, faith, & the open exchange of ideas.
Cybersecurity threats are challenging hospitals more than ever. My Rural Hospital Cybersecurity Enhancement Act will give rural providers the training and resources they need to respond to cyberattacks and continue serving their communities.
Whether it’s strengthening rural hospitals, expanding broadband access, or cutting burdensome regulations, I’m focused on using my work on @HouseCommerce to deliver real results for Southern Indiana.
Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Navy!
On October 13, 1775, the Continental Congress authorized a few armed vessels to intercept British supply ships. That small step launched a force that now stands watch on every ocean.
My late grandfather kept Navy aircraft flying as a mechanic at NAS Corpus Christi during World War II. To every sailor past and present, and to the families who serve alongside them: thank you for answering the call to protect and defend.
Anchors aweigh! ⚓

It was an honor to join veterans and their families in Dearborn County and to celebrate the 100 1/2 birthday with WW2 Veteran George Klopp Sr! I told him I’ll be back to celebrate his 101st. Proud to know this living legend and patriot!
Our freedom is possible because of patriots, like George, who answered the call to serve our country.
Thank you!

Happy National Farmer's Day to the producers who make Indiana a leader in agriculture! 🌾
Indiana farmers work every day to feed our families and fuel our economy. I’m proud to bring their voices to Congress and to fight for policies that support them!
Today, we honor Christopher Columbus and the courage, determination, and spirit of exploration that have shaped our nation’s history. 🇺🇸
From the earliest explorers and the westward-bound pioneers to the astronauts and scientists who continue to push boundaries, America has always been driven by a sense of adventure and discovery.
Congratulations to Katie Bailey! She is an excellent choice for this role. Couldn’t be prouder of her. @SpeakerBoehner and @GovBraun alum!
Congratulations @KatieZacharia!
Thank you to President Trump for the distinguished privilege of serving as White House Press Secretary.
Serving President Trump and the American people at this critical 250-year mark is the honor of a lifetime. President Trump has shown America that we can be great again, and he works to effectuate that greatness every single day. His confidence is a true privilege, and his leadership is a blessing to this country.
The work ahead is to continue delivering strong results for our Country and communicating to the American people the major wins that this Administration is making every single day. I look forward to working with the White House press corps, and with reporters across the country, to get that record out. Following the fabulous Karoline Leavitt is a high standard, and one worth meeting.
God bless President Trump, and God bless America.
I agree with Chair @RepWesterman. Americans need more power and lower energy bills. The Senate's bill sets clear permitting deadlines, curbs endless litigation, and speeds up transmission and new generation. It's time to build. #PermittingReform
NEW in @PunchbowlNews PM: Natural Resources Chair Bruce Westerman tells me in an interview he is fully behind the Senate's permitting bill, providing a key House boost. “We’re in a really good spot right now, and I look forward to getting this across the finish line."
A little over a year ago, Dean reached out to my office for help. When he shared in passing that he had lost his military medals, we got to work!
My staff submitted his paperwork to the National Personnel Record Center, and this month, we were honored to present Dean with his replacement medals.
Thank you, Dean, for your service and sacrifice to our nation!🇺🇸
