Europe is paying the price for the radical Left’s failed policies: weakened borders, affirmed lawlessness, and an alarming embrace for political violence. The Fair draws farmers into town, celebrates the Fall, highlights the harvest, and is a huge hometown reunion that draws thousands of visitors, former residents, and local families each October. Amazing afternoon celebrating the long-awaited and hard-worked opening of the Threefold Schoolhouse in Mechanicsburg - a school that uses the latest technology in a self-paced environment designed to foster life skills of responsibility, goals, and teamwork - and participating in their 30-Year Time Capsule event. My sincere congratulations to the builders, the parents, and the kids who fought so hard to make this day a reality.
My great thanks to Hershey Medical Center for hosting me and CMS Administrator Dr. Oz at the always-impressive Children’s Hospital, for a tour and roundtable discussion on healthcare affordability, rural healthcare, prescription drug prices, Medicare / Medicaid fraud, and the importance of ongoing collaboration to address issues affecting patients, providers, and the broader health care system.
To all who made this happen, but especially to the doctors, nurses, and administrators who work so tirelessly every day to bring the highest quality care to their patients - and especially these little kids - “Thank You” is never enough. Rubio said it perfectly. Foreign aid is NOT charity. It is U.S. TAXPAYER MONEY and it must serve the AMERICAN national interest.
Caring about human rights and humanitarian need does not mean writing blank checks to governments that disrespect American generosity and destroy aid meant for starving people.
