More Good News! The Port of Wilmington’s container growth is up 38% and general cargo is up 18% for the 2018 FY, after unprecedented investments by the state legislature. The port is responsible for more than 76,000 jobs and $700 million each year in state and local tax $.

The NC Legislature created one-of-a-kind Unfunded Liability Solvency Reserve to address unfunded pension and healthcare liabilities, and saved a state record $2 billion in the rainy day fund. Very prudent handling of taxpayer dollars. #ncga #ncpol

This week, I had a blast at The Children's Museum of Wilmington with my grandson Tee. It’s an excellent place for a child to learn and play!

It was a pleasure to meet with representatives from @NewHanoverCo, @CityofWilm, @WrightsvilleNC, @CarolinaBeachNC, and @KureBeachNC to discuss various issues involving the Room Occupancy Tax in order to develop a plan for future funding for beach nourishment.
