In a split second, he shielded his daughter and wife with his body, saving their lives at the cost of his own.
His last act was love.
And love like that never dies.

🚨 NEW: RSC Members led by @RepTroyNehls are asking FBI Director Kash Patel to deploy EVERY available tool to stop ransomware gangs targeting America's hospitals.
This is a MAJOR threat to our national security.
The FBI reported 460 ransomware attacks on the healthcare sector in 2025 alone, more than ANY other critical infrastructure sector.
These criminal networks are shutting down hospitals, disrupting patient care, and putting lives at risk. They must be stopped.

The American Dream doesn’t belong to the highest bidder on Wall Street. It belongs to the American people, who work hard, save up, and play by the rules.
I applaud President Trump’s leadership on this issue and urge the House to pass this bill.

I met with Radical Defense alongside my colleague @RepTroyNehls to discuss efforts to address blast overpressure exposure and improve protections for our service members.
We reviewed emerging technologies and research aimed at reducing the impact of repeated overpressure, including solutions that support brain health and protect critical equipment in operational environments. These investments can strengthen readiness while helping prevent long-term injuries. Supporting our troops requires bipartisan collaboration and smart investments.
Through the Appropriations process, I’ll continue working to advance solutions that strengthen readiness and protect the men and women who serve, including the many service members and military families across South Texas. – at Washington, DC
