In a video message, Italian MP Alessia Ambrosi drew attention to the grave case of Najmeh Amini, a 23-year-old woman sentenced to death on charges of insulting Islamic sanctities over social media posts. She reminded the international community that the struggle of the Iranian people is a fight for dignity, freedom, and the right to self-determination. She emphasized that the Iranian people must not be confused with the repressive regime of the Islamic Republic, and called on Europe to move beyond routine declarations and apply strong diplomatic initiatives and international pressure against the regime's execution machine.
