Day 92/365 : sorry playing catch-up on posts. After a church youth weekend, it’s good to spend a few hours with the young lad. And he beat me.
Day 90/365 : who ever thought such a thing existed, and works. Hot cross bun bread & butter pudding. Yum at Noble, Holywood.
Day 89/365 : since COVID I’ve not had any regular visits to RVH. Today I will admit that I have not missed these queues. And then to find out that my parishioner had been transferred to the City Hospital…..
Day 88/365 : it’s been too long since our Boys’ Brigade has been able to have their Displays due to COVID. A great night, another one tomorrow night.
Day 87/365 : one of the privileges of my calling from God is to walk alongside people. God is never absent. Today I sat with a family in hospital as they said goodbye to their father. When you see this symbol on a ward door, take a moment to reflect on someone’s grief.
Day 85/365 : Alpha Course feedback form means only one thing - it’s the end. Such a blessing over the last 10 weeks. A great team of leaders, and blessed to see people deepen their understanding of God’s love.
Day 84/365 : Good to be out again. Amazing how you seem to play better after not having played in a long time.
Day 83/365 : it’s great to see the schools opening up more and more to assemblies & classes again. It took some time after the pandemic. Ballynure Primary this morning.
Day 82/365 : today was another prep day for my visit to Nairobi, Kenya in May. Languages were never my strongpoint, but so far Swahili seems ok.
Day 81/365 : for my friends who get frustrated with my volume of unread emails, I’ve not only reduced it by 10,000 but also deleted them without reading them…..
Day 80/365 : so this is an indicator switch. Why oh why do people at the roundabout on Main Street Ballyclare not know how to use theirs? Rant over.
Day 76/365 : Happy St Patrick’s Day (not that anything I’ve seen today reflects the mission of Patrick). Time for many to have a history lesson and to consider the issues that are relevant today from the life of the man we remember - slavery, faithful service, Christ beside me
