The Breaking Bad logline is perfection:
A high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine in order to secure his family's future.
In 1 sentence, you learn the setting, main character, obstacle, and stakes.
The key to any big goal is to train your mind to unsee the finished product.
When you're writing a book, it can feel like an impossible task.
The solution: don't write a book.
Write a chapter.
Write a page.
Write one good sentence.
When I was a kid, I hated reading.
It literally felt like work. Much better to play on the PlayStation or spend all afternoon playing football.
But then I found the right book and the whole trajectory of my life changed.

This year's Book Week may have been postponed from March but @KSCLibrarian made sure it was a real page turner! Quizzes, a creative writing workshop from @RevellWriting and even a Smaug cake were just some of the highlights! kingschester.co.uk/news/book…
This was particularly impressive. I feel like cake samples should be mandatory for all judges.
As part of our Book Week last week, our Patron of Reading, Mike Revell, challenged the pupils to produce a piece of art based on their favourite book. Our winner thought outside the box and created this incredible cake of Smaug from The Hobbit!!
