I am honoured to announce that the EOS Network has entrusted 5M $EOS from the newly created Middleware bucket to @greymass. This funding, following the adoption of the New Tokenomics proposal, recognizes their extraordinary contributions since the network’s inception, from the creation of the first #EOS wallet (Anchor) to their leadership in developing open-source SDKs (Wharfkit) and authoring the Wallet+ and API+ Blue Papers. Their unmatched infrastructure and APIs, known for their low latency and high reliability, have established Greymass as leaders in the field. Ongoing initiatives, including the innovative Wharf SDKs, are instrumental for our developers and underline Greymass's commitment to elevating the EOS ecosystem. Additionally, Greymass developed Fuel, now integrated into Wharf SDKs, which simplifies resource management by providing both free and fee-based transactions, boosting accessibility across all apps and wallets. In my view, @Jesta187 and his team at Greymass personify dedication, integrity, and excellence. Aaron’s proactive involvement in our community exemplifies the commitment and values upheld by Greymass. With this 5M $EOS fund, Greymass is set to launch transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing usability across the EOS Network. Projects like new account creation tools, light accounts, and web extension wallet plugins are poised to refine user interactions, ensuring every first experience with EOS is seamless and engaging. Alongside @EOSNetworkLabs and @EOSNetworkFDN, this allocation positions Greymass as the third entity to receive network-directed resources. This strategic shift places one-third of the middleware budget under the guidance of the Greymass team, yet remains under the broader oversight of the Block Producers.
