For years, the one-two punch of Rieth-Riley and the Biden Board’s blocking charge rule has trampled the statutory rights of workers seeking to remove unions they oppose.
Starbucks employee Amy Smith has filed a second request asking National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Region 14 to reinstate her decertification petition to remove the Starbucks Workers United (SBWU) union from her Starbucks store in Nichols Hills located near Oklahoma City, OK.

Think Big Labor’s power grabs couldn’t get any worse? Think again! It’s called “sectoral bargaining,” and it would let union bosses impose one contract across every company and worker in an entire industry. Under a proposed scheme, a union could gain industry-wide bargaining power over every worker and employer in that sector, forcing workers, who never wanted anything to do with a labor union, to pay dues or fees to a union just to earn a living. There would be no non-union companies that they could work for, because the union bosses would control them all. This is forced unionism on steroids! Read National Right to Work Committee President Mark Mix’s editorial to learn how “sectoral bargaining” would expand Big Labor’s power over entire industries at workers’ expense! townhall.com/columnists/mark…

A Kentucky electrician asked his union for a copy of his *own* dues card so he could stop paying. IBEW Local 2100’s answer: Come get it in person. It was a 48-mile round trip. He fought back, and the union settled.  nrtw.org/news/kentucky-elect…

We at @RightToWork are pleased Mr. Marion stood up to IBEW union bosses and that his Foundation-assisted case has dismantled the obstacle course union officials built to obstruct his and his coworkers’ right to cut off union dues.
Brandyn Marion (an electrician at Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company) has prevailed in his dispute with IBEW Local 2100 after union bosses backed down and settled the case.

Starbucks employee Amy Smith and her coworkers asked for a vote more than three years ago, and they’re still waiting – not because of anything they did, but because union officials and NLRB bureaucrats keep finding new reasons to disenfranchise them.
“Three-year delay” in adjudicating NLRB charge used as basis for blocking employee vote, warrants election being finally scheduled @RightToWork Starbucks Employee Files Demand to Unblock Long-Delayed Vote to Remove Union buff.ly/MA139Bz

The National Labor Relations Board began investigating when Marion filed an Unfair Labor Practice charge against IBEW Local 2100 union bosses for violating his rights by refusing to provide him with the information he needed to revoke his dues checkoff authorization.

UFCW union bosses spent 9 months attempting to overturn the workers vote against unionization. “I didn’t understand why we would have a second vote when the majority had already ruled,” Lopez-Santiago said. “I thought this was bulls–t.”

Cases like this show why all workers need Right to Work protections, so all union financial support is fully voluntary and every employee gets to decide for themselves whether union officials deserve a portion of their hard-earned paycheck.
William Kocke, an employee of CenterPoint Energy, has filed unfair labor practice charges against OPEIU Local 12. The charges state union bosses ignored and obstructed Kocke when attempting to exercise his right to refrain from union membership and pay less than full union dues.

When the union and the company it claims is the ‘employer’ are working hand in glove, the NLRB must allow caregivers like Elena Rizzo to participate in the case to defend their own rights!
Elena Rizzo, a home care provider who cares for her fiancé under New York’s Medicaid-funded Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP), has just filed unfair labor practice charges and a motion to intervene with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
