The importance of the upcoming impeachment trial is partly to put facts and evidence on the record, and partly to force the GOP to take a position. Whether they convict or acquit won't be about facts or truth. It will be a political calculation. They might calculate incorrectly.
Been GOP for 50+ years. I voted for Biden, but I will never, ever run a Biden flag up a pole, nor will I ever run up a flag idolizing an individual. The idolatry element of Trumpism is what I have found most disturbing over the past several years. CONVICT HIM.
