I’m gonna say something that because our these separation & ASS stats will likely have a lot of push back, but Josh Downs is a lesser version of Wan’Dale Robinson.
He’s closer to Marvin Mims than a WR2 on a good NFL offense.

Yeah, his place is literally behind everyone else. Josh Downs would be a terrible fit with the Chiefs. They already have this type of player with Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and to an extent, Travis Kelce.

As one of the other 31 teams, I can see you saying, “Okay, Marvin Harrison didn’t work out because of Arizona. Rough QB play & bad coaching. We can get the most out of him.”
But for Brian Thomas, if it didn’t work for Lawrence & Liam Coen, why’s it gonna work for your team?
I don’t think there’s any world where Brian Thomas Jr. ends up in Las Vegas, Los Angeles or San Francisco. He just hasn’t shown the physicality that Klint Kubiak, Kyle Shannan, or Sean McVay require out of their WRs.
The list of receivers I’d rather roster over Josh Downs grows weekly.

Kendrick Bourne? Yes.
