We're giving the public control of our transport network, here in the West Midlands.
So I want your help to suggest a name for our network that we can all be proud of.
A name that reflects our whole region, our shared history and the people who live here.
What would you call it?

Today, outside the Kings Arms Sutton Coldfield, our wonderful artist Sian Storey Art was back adding another lovely creation to our growing art trail!
This time, a pair of gorgeous long-tailed tits 🐦🐦 have found a new home, brightening up a telecoms cabinet and bringing another splash of colour to our town.
Keep your eyes peeled for these little feathered friends next time you’re passing! 👀
🩷 Proudly organised & funded by Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID.

We’re taking control of our buses because we need to make them better.
I want to hear from the people who use them every day.
What matters to you? Reliability, safety, affordability or accessibility?
Tell us what needs to change. 🚌

Enough is enough.
For years, people have been expected to put up with Avanti’s cancellations, delays, overcrowding, and a service that has failed them time and time again.
So my Labour government is bringing Avanti West Coast into public ownership at the earliest opportunity in March next year.
That means passengers, not shareholders, will come first.
More investment, fewer delays, and a renewed focus on getting the basics right.
We're putting essential services back in public hands and building a railway that actually works for the people who use it.

For years, Avanti West Coast passengers have been left paying the price for underperforming services.
Enough is enough. We will bring Avanti into public ownership.

Nearly 15,000 children in the West Midlands are living in temporary accommodation.
I want that number down - fast.
Today we secured £409m to build around 3,200 new social and affordable homes on top of what we're already delivering.
People deserve a decent home. We’re going to build them.

Protecting jobs, maintaining services, and keeping the West Midlands moving.
Taking our buses into public ownership protects what we have today and gives us the control to build the kind of network the region sorely needs.
