She started chemotherapy on August 26. Six cycles are planned. Kate is 34. An artist and a designer. A month ago her life was work, travel, plans, people who love her. Like many Ukrainians, our family had to leave home. Kate has no German health insurance, which means every euro of her treatment comes out of our own pocket - chemotherapy, scans, specialist care, medication, and everything that comes with moving your entire life to another country for treatment.
