Disappointingly, Starshield still doesn’t work well and seems to cut out for units above 160kmh. The improvement observed earlier today seems inconsistent and unstable.

New: I got a tip a little while ago about a shadowy Pentagon entity called "TSO" with a lot of money and a desire for offensive hacking tools. Turns out TSO is a new DoD agency. And it does a lot more than hacking. w/@JackDetsch and @paulmcleary politico.com/news/2026/10/22…

SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. If these reports are true, this is a welcome development. It’s now been over a week since Starshield service in Ukraine was throttled, and innocent Ukrainians have bore the murderous brunt. We’ve spent that week trying to determine the party responsible, but they have yet to own the decision, if in fact one was made. I have full confidence in the powers of the United States Government and SpaceX to solve this, if there are indeed no objections. If there are objections, have the courage to raise your hand, and explain your justification for allowing Putin to continue to mow down toddlers in strollers in Ukrainian parks. Otherwise, let’s get this resolved!

Zelensky referencing Witkoff calling Putin a humanitarian yesterday
Three waves of ballistic missiles have been launched at Kyiv by Russian “humanitarians” since yesterday evening. They used 21 missiles. Unfortunately, numerous sites across the city have been hit and damaged: ordinary residential buildings, energy facilities, infrastructure at one of the railway stations and the metro, shopping malls, and businesses. Even a monastery is among the damaged sites. Our emergency services are working at all the affected locations. Twelve of our regions came under Russian attack overnight. In Kyiv and across the regions, 34 people were injured, including five children. As of now, two people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Almost immediately after another round of talks, Russia launched a pointed attack. This means there has been no real change in its attitude toward everything that is happening. It is important to keep trying to find the right solutions to end this war. But when Russia responds to negotiations with ballistic missiles, real pressure on Russia is needed to bring about different steps – steps toward ending the killing. Stronger air defenses and the rapid delivery of missiles, the ability to destroy ballistic missile launchers, sanctions over the war – all of this must be in place. I am grateful to everyone who sees the situation for what it is and acknowledges the reality. The aggressor deserves to be treated accordingly. Ukraine deserves support. People's lives deserve protection. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!

Steve Witkoff’s salute of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “humanitarian” on Wednesday shocked Ukraine and its supporters, but didn’t surprise close watchers of Witkoff’s handling of the Russia file. The praise, heard around the world, wasn’t a departure for the U.S. special envoy, as President Trump has sought to foster warmer relations with Putin in an effort to defuse the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv and develop economic ties with Russia. Witkoff’s remarks were made after he arrived in Russia to secure the release of Stephen Hubbard, a 74-year-old American citizen who was living in eastern Ukraine when he was detained by the Russians soon after they invaded their neighbor in 2022. The U.S. State Department designed Hubbard as wrongfully detained and denied Russian claims that Hubbard has been a mercenary. Read more: 🔗 on.wsj.com/48dwdfD

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.
