🧵: Part 1 of some of my favorite play-designs/play-calls from Sean Payton and the offensive staff this season. 01 personnel buck sweep to the boundary with Marvin Mims. The personnel grouping gets lighter bodies on the field and calling it to the boundary gets a puller onto a DB in space.

Strictly analytic folks are allergic to the middle ground. Andrew Luck’s body didn’t deteriorate because his OCs didnt scheme enough free releases.

Replying to @obeyquis @FeuxManning
No. It’s up to the QB. You have to coach and scheme quick releases. The player who most controls how much pressure the QB faces is the QB himself.

Not saying they should’ve traded for Nelson or given anything like that up especially when you consider they don’t even have a first, but the most frustrating thing in the world is being a fan of a team in a window and seeing their name attached to every notable FA/trade target just to end up with NONE of them and having to watch the GM talk about how “in” on them they were after they get bounced because of those deficiencies.

Still really can’t get over this run compared to what we’ve seen from the RB room the last 3-4 years. The hole was barely even there when he started his cut, he just knew off of the leverage of the blockers.

Clean/calm footwork on the dropback, subtle movement to step up and help his oline, keeps his eyes downfield the entire play. This is the good stuff from Bo Nix.

Raiders HC Klint Kubiak told reporters that Kirk Cousins is the team’s starting QB. “There is no controversy,” Kubiak said. Raiders play at the Jets on Sunday.

I know Zach Allen is really good, but man, Malcolm Roach is playing some excellent ball right now. These pressures against Isaac Seumalo -- a 10-year vet.

Saw it the other day with the Mrs and it was so good imo. The best out of the big 3 Cregger bodies of work and he did an insane job at making it feel like the games. Austin Abrams fucking killed it too. People upset about the ending are dumb.

Looks like a basic play and for the most part it is, but this is a 0/1 yard gain for the last 7 weeks.

Biggest game of the year so far next week and if KC drops this tonight it gets even bigger. Please don’t look abysmal against competition again.
