We have something here called AIPAC. It is an association of wealthy Jewish and non-Jewish interest groups in this country, buying and controlling the politicians, who in turn fund Israeli wars, who in turn order the equipment from the American manufacturer. You see, it’s the same game. It’s just this time with a foreign country playing a role which normally it wouldn’t have played, but that’s why our politics are so weird. We’re the only country that basically supports Israel in the world now. They figured out, to their credit, the game that had to be played, but here’s the problem: everybody else is now aware of it, and so we’re seeing elections here in New York won by the candidate who is able to say about his or her opponent, “they are funded by AIPAC. They’re in the pocket of the military.” It’s become, Hegel would have loved this as a German philosopher, it has become its own opposite, from being the guarantee of controlling the Congress.
