Aerial footage shows the streets of Port St. Lucie, Florida underwater on Monday, as torrential rain brought widespread flooding to the area.
Officials declared a state of emergency and warned residents to avoid all unnecessary travel as widespread road closures were in place. A flash flood warning remained in place for the city and surrounding areas on Monday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
