Has to be one of the greatest scouting threads and tips you can get.
From amateur to profesional clubs, this is how scouting pipeline should work.
Incredible work from Gabriel.
Getting Cubarsi thrown under the bus for the second goal?
Let’s be for real, who was supposed to be defending that left channel?
Who is our left-center-back? Why was Cubarsi who starts as a RCB from t0 to tx (LCB) supposed to be defending that?
The correct answer to who is at fault is the same guy that costed us the first goal.
Not on Flick, my opinion.
On not buying the right profiles for a RB/CB and how the whole symmetry falls apart the moment a ‘pure’ right-back play & how Lamine’s influence & gravity gets disrupted.
On not buy a left-center-back when every one and their friends could notice the need of one.
Diomande against Espart did nothing, Guler and Diomande against Cancelo were driving on a clear boulevard.
Cancelo late to absolutely everything and too much of a distance to everything.
Second point is also why they both don’t work at right-back, as I been very vehement on.
You know what would be the X factor today? how well Lamine will control his emotions against Cucurella. Marc is the type of player to be on your neck at every touch you get and get annoyingly close in your personal space / intervention space as soon as possible and as often as possible.
If Lamine relies on his pausa & tempo and not rush his runs in behind or his passes, he’ll get the better of this game and shift the gravity & field tilt towards him and make space for half-space presence in Espart, Canelo & Gordon, Raphinha.
Cucurella also won’t have the Stamford Bridge advantage of having a small pitch.
I expect a 3 / 4 - 1 / 2 win.
